Matter of fact, the only time this man has had any sort of sustained form was his first half a season at Souths. The rest of his career has pretty much contained the odd blip of form in a pretty flatline career. Should have been an origin regular.

SACKED rugby league journeyman Dave Taylor could be thrown a sporting lifeline in Australia.
Having been axed by the Toronto Wolfpack last week for breaking curfew, the man dubbed ‘Coal Train’ will be hard pressed finding an NRL contract.

But the Ipswich Jets are prepared to take a gamble on the former Queensland Origin forward who’s played 181 NRL games with four clubs.

Jets coach Shane Walker told NRL.com Taylor would be welcome at the Queensland Cup club.

Walker runs a recruitment company and says he would find Taylor a job and even help him to buy a house to get his life back on track.

“You can be at an NRL club on a minimum wage, or play at the Jets and have a job and earn equally as much without the demands,” Walker said.

“Some of those sort of things we could help provide for Dave if that’s what he wants. We’d certainly be prepared to have a yarn to him.”

Walker has spoken previously about Taylor and the possibility of him becoming a star five-eighth for the Jets.

I googled his name
In wiki it says he is a 5/8 among other positions.

But I agree
Put me down for an ounce as well.

He will never be a Canadian. He will always be a dumb Australian: fat belly and low IQ.

Frustrating for the wolfpack who are still in their infancy and trying to build the RL brand in Toronto. Last thing they need is dckheads damaging the clubs rep and games image this early in the piece. Big blow to their promotion hopes as well losing their 3 big forwards. Rumour is there may be 14 SL teams soon anyway so promotion might not be an issue for them as rumours are they will be fast tracked.

Taylor might be able to get a gig at the Warriors and Hunters and try and hold the record for being sacked in more RL nations than anyone else.

Wolfpack have obviously learnt early that no matter how bad a players disciplinary record is it is the done thing as a RL club to throw load so f money at them in the hope that this time they will behave and perform. Name me a club that hasn't done this at some point!

Ryley Jacks says hi, scored in our Rd 3 game against Brisbane.

Ryley Jacks is the classiest Canadian rugby league player I have ever seen. Pity that he speaks English with an Aussie accent.

By contrast Remi Casty, the classiest French prop forward to ever play in the NRL, spoke English with a heavy French accent.
