Im not essentially in agreement with the $$$ but anything for a premiership....then I can retire.

You will not be pushing your zimmer frame in front of me and me old cobber Popper.

You take your place in that long far queue Shadow.

I think there might be a case of mass retirements and taking of redundancies after a Sharkies Lap Of Honour.

How about we offer DCE one of those Yankee Baseball type of contracts.

Some bloke (the bloody fool) just signed a 13 year 377 million dollar contract. Coorrrr it only equates to $65,000.00 a day.

After we build all the Gal Towers we could offer a couple of those contracts.

It's probably very likely that DCE's manager has put this out there. He is off contract at the end of '15 and is hoping to squeeze very last drop out of Manly.

I don't understand why some people are asking how we could afford it. Or how many articles call us the cash strapped Sharks etc. 3 yrs ago we had a $14m debt and were struggling to meet interest payments. That is down to what 4 mill now? The increased NRL packages to clubs, the development money etc. Surely we aren't the worst off in the NRL?

We carried that debt for a long time and were actually competitive for a few years during the worst of it.

Then along came ASADA and that took a big chunk of cash off us. but compared to 4 yrs ago we are still a far more financially viable club than we have been in a long time. Raise our profile (which this play at Evans partly is) and attract a major sponsor and we are gold.

So, what I am saying is. Screw it, throw as much money as we can to anyone that will take it and get us over the line on grand final day.

No chance, even Keogh has come out and said its crap.

Said he has spoken but so has 7 other clubs.

The Money is completely untrue.

Longer a supporter the closer one is to throwing the towel in on this team.
Nice for some positive news for a change but the soap opera that is the sharks is always one commercial break from another plot twist come disaster

Well the NRL dose not want us to be the easybeats of the comp. it will hurt the ratings and the image. Sharks will have money long term so keep them going with some good signings. DCE is dreaming but I thought that when I read Ben Barba.

Have heard from a reliable media source that DCE is already a done deal. Has apparently already started scoping out property in Sth Cronulla. Hope it's true!!

Right, this is great, just f**ken great....I mean, has anyone from the club given any thought to the fans in al of this signing stuff FFS??????
Maybe we like not having won a premiership & wanted it to stay that way and here they go, signing DCE, leaving us with no f**ken option......

The signing of DCE would rival the signing of Kimmorley. That was against the odds and our biggest in history up to that year.
