Dear Stagger and MITS

Mate, if I knew that, I'd be on 300 k's a year and turning up to training tomorrow.

I hope you are right in that during the next two weeks, they buy about 25 mirrors (including the coaching staff) and take a f**king good hard look at themselves, beacause atm, yours and mine and Nikki's and other's trip to Brisbane, will be nothing more than a social gathering.

Suity

You and me Both.

Yeah because Stagger and I haven't gone through those 22 years also. Nah we only jumped on board recently

No Matter what we do, or say now, we as supporters or Fans of the club can only have a limited input into the club. We have our Players for the year, we have our coach. So we are going to have to stick by them this year. If that means another failed year then we are going to have to suffer through it, because our course is set. Our course doesn't have to be for next year but it may be shaping up that way as well. It is a frustrating thing. We put our faith in the clubs staff to bring us the premiership our club desires. They put their faith in the players, then we see the soulless 2nd half performance in last weeks game.

Now some have said to me, our attack looked Terrible in the first half, we had no shape we were not running lines. Quite Frankly I don't care about that. What I cared about was our Defensive effort, which starting from Anasta's try started to fade and looked limp when Ben Smith Hobbled off.

What happened to the Eels that used to single out their man. Each one of the pointing at the man they were going to take.

What happened to the Eels that used to Run up in one line and attack with our own defense.

I remember times when the opposition would make a mistake, in fielding our kick and be trapped in the 10, we would then work hard for 5 tackles to make sure they didn't get past the 30 before their kick. We never gave up easy metres. Now if we fix our defense we can start to be "in" games with a shot. If that means relying on some ad-lib football for points then so be it, but lets not be ad-lib in defense.

Let us attack with our defense, and maybe just maybe we as fans might see something that we want to see. A Team that shows some sort of Pride in the Colours and the Logo. Some one that shows the same sort of Pride for the Colours and the Logo that I do. That is all we can do at the moment, hope for our clubs players to show some mental toughness and some fire in the belly or else this is going to turn in to 2004 real quick.

Listen here mate, your the loopy one. If that's your comeback. No one here is saying that you haven't suffered with the rest of us. That is plain to see by all. The issue is that you are a massive defender of the failures that we so perpetually have. Sometimes justified most times not.

Therefore it has gotten under the skin of many whether you acknowledge it or not. I for one, and many others it would seem, know the meaning of the term "can't see the forest for the trees".

And as for your delusional "all they have to do is improve their defense and the season can turn around" rhetoric... NO SH*IT SHERLOCK.

The problem though, is that it ain't going to happen enough to manage more the a pathetic scrap into the semi finals performance at best.

Thus another failed year, once again.

So when people like you who talk to the management of the club, come here and feed us the club line, all it does is make many of us want to throw up. Comprende?

Our handling isn't very good - they are likely to drop them and then we are f**ked......

Oh no doubt, but you know me Mr Bell, I am an optimist. 4 Wins when playing terribly, but I also see it as something we can fix. Because I have seen them defend stoutly before. I have seen them attack with vigor, and skill. I am sure all we want is to see that again.

Have you? Well I don't think anyone else has seen this team do the things you speak of. What games are these that you have seen? Is it previous teams in previous years you maybe dreamin of, cause this team ain't them? ;-)

Yeah because I don't want to Hang someone on circumstantial evidence. Again Both sides of the argument are important. If that makes you sick, that your problem. If you want to try and change our club, you haven't been able to yet. So I could care less what you think mate, but if you think I am going to let people like you spout narrow minded Rhetoric about better times and 22 years of pain, then you have another thing coming

Actually, firstly, it was Jess who made the post, so I'd assume she doesn't need an apologist, but if you feel the need to, so be it.
Secondly, Jess was laughing AT the people who bag the eels off, not making a joke of it.
Thirdly, 4 laughing faces doesn't get you off the real meaning of your post. :|

3 days after the Saints game and I'm still extremely pissed off atm..I can honestly say that I'd never felt the way I do now, 72 hours after a game.

As for light at the end of the tunnel? the only light i see from a distance is a f**king freight train...
