im still around
cat bite your fingers??
im still around
funnily enough, after the initial emotion has worn off, i have realised what a dickhead thread i have created - although i have enjoyed reading some of the conversation it has created. however, i think that could have been achieved with a more tasteful initial post.
:??:??:?
Suity
like accusing people of being apologists when they've actually spent more time this year of being critical of the clubs management, administration, players and coaching staff than ever before???
like I said, I'm sure Gronk would of had a chuckle at your initial post and you would of known what i meant had you bothered to do some research first.
Yep Stagger is a niggler when it comes to the club. He's the opposite of an apologist in fact.
I try and keep him on the straight and narrow from time to time, when his passion gets ahead of him. ;-)
Delboy, if Ovo's responsibility is only finances, then what is being done to increase our revenue through increased crowd support and sponsorship. I am very concerned with the quality of our major sponsors compared to more well known brands at other clubs. And I mean absolutely no disrespect to Pirtek or any of our other sponsors.

I am also wondering what sort of Quality issues you have with the issues. Is their money not as good as others? Or is it the Lack of ability to Cross Promote on more consumer Brands?
I think FP is saying it would be good to have a major sponsor that the average supporter can relate to.
Being associated with a strong brand sends a positive image out about the club.
With respect to Pirtek, nobody knows who they are.
yeah - but thats you - into cars .... 90% of the population wouldn't know wtf they doSo that is the interesting thing, I knew of Pirtek, I think 4 years before the became sponsors of the Eels. Maybe more through their support of V8Supercar Team Stone Brothers Racing. I had a next door neighbor at the time who was a mechanic who knew Pirtek through their business in Hose's and fittings and was ecstatic with the sponsorship of someone non motoring / Industrial.
