DeGois signed by Sharks

well.

what we should really have done was gone with chris anderson.......

every big decision since then has been a f**k up.

the idea..in theory from what i can tell was stuart wanted

Seymour and barrett behind a pack of

Ross
Hughes
Snowden
Topou
Bird
Gallen

Douglas
Seu Seu
etc
and just dominate teams in the ruck. but we lost half the players, the 2 ref stuff killed our cheating ways.....

i can see why they did it at the time.

regardless. degois back would be great if we keep clayton, mannah and maybe sign a new prop foward and a couple of backs

Morris has already taken up the option in his favour for next year.

De Gois for Aiton is a significant upgrade IMO.

I loved the de gois back in the day but it seems he has never reached those same heights up in newey...im hoping the same happens to Kade

In 2009 De Gois was outstanding for the Knights. Pretty sure he was Knight's player of the year, which was pretty impressive because it was a pretty good year for Newcastle in 09. I'd say he'd easily reached the same heights (or exceeded them) that year. However then the injuries started to hit badly at the end of 09, and they just never stopped. He couldn't get onto the field for more than 2 or so games at a time before suffering another serious injury. I wouldn't be writing Issac off. He's a very good player. Just needs a good run with injury.

Kade will be fine. It's a shame (from a sharkies perspective) that he's decided to leave, but if there's one coach that can get the best out of his forwards it's Bennett.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but today's herald says we are "understood to be interested in various players including Luke O'Donnell, Sam Tagatese, David Fa'alogo and Daniel Vidot"

Fa'alogo might be ok but i'm really not keen on o'donnell, way too agressive, tonnes of penatlies and gets injured as well.

I'd prefer we kept the your and used them.

Wow David Fa'alogo and Luke O'Donnell. I thought you guys need props.

I think they would be handy coming off the bench. Its better then what we currently have with brod wright and cordoba...and its quite sad to think Cordoba could even start next year if we dont sign an established prop soon. These two guys would add some much needed mongrel coming off the bench.

Signing both these guys might be going over board as we have kids like the friz and peach coming through, but I'd be happy with one or the other...then again there is nothing wrong with having too much depth is there?

I'd take Vidot

Currently playing QLD Cup cos he cant crack Canberra's FG squad.

Fergo's head takes up too much space anyway

Wasn't Vidot in the emerging Origin squad for QLD? He's a good player, but I don't know if he'd be an upgrade as a winger on Ike, Mills or Williams.
