So some dudes found me in the tower and we partied up. Spent 7 hours doing the vault of glass and couldnt defeat the last boss. We had guys in the fireteam that had done it before but still couldnt win.

There's a glitch some mates and I tried, where you knock the boss off of the platform with the warlock super and that automatically kills him and you win.

Yeah we talked about it and our fire team leader wanted to do it but he rage quit. We still wanted to do it but couldn't find any warlocks that had done it before.

Once you are in a fire team you can talk to people in your team

That last boss is ridiculous, me and some mates spent about 6 hours trying to beat him before we used the glitch to push him off the edge. It's made all the more challenging by some annoying glitches, apparently only 1 in 4 players who attempt the raid finish it.

They are also patching that over the cliff glitch. So I won't be beating it any time soon unless I am with level 30s

I wish they would patch the splash damage glitch it's really annoying when you have atheon beat and then he hits that pillar and the splash damage wipes your whole team. They also need to fixes the glitch with the time portals not just the glitches that make the fight easier.

Doing it on normal as a with 27s, 28s or 29s should be really quite easy. Doing it on hard as anything less than 29 is nearly impossible.

We did it on normal with 2 x 27s 3 x 28s and 1 x 29 and couldn't even inflict a quarter damage on the final boss, we tried for about 2-3 hours and gave up.

Best way to do it would be have the 29 hold the relic, and the 2 x 27s on the portal team for oracle duty, with the 3 x 28s keeping the vex gates open and killing the harpies / etc.

Inside the portals: the mars portal is the left side (where you have to kill hobgoblins) and the right side venus and (have to kill a minotaur and a couple of goblins). The portal team needs to call this out and the outside team needs to make sure they keep the portal open and kill as many harpies as possible.

Once they kill everything inside the portals (you have 30 seconds to damage the boss once the last oracle is killed) then quickly come back out, there is a platform in the middle where everyone should jump to. The relic holder should put up a shield to cleanse the portal goers and hold the shield up. Then just unload on the boss (stay away from the pillar/ledge on the centre platform to avoid splash damage) - void snipers work well. Also during this 30 seconds, all players have unlimited supers so use them as much as possible. At about 4 seconds remaining, the portal team should jump towards the back and the other 3 to the sides.

You should only need 4 maybe 5 or 6 times through the portal to kill the guy. Happy to help if needed.

For anyone wanting to run it on hard you cn push both the Templar and atheon off the edge still, if you have some warlocks with you. How's everyone going getting raid gear? I have ran it three times only Eligable for gear twice and got a pair of boots and a chest piece.

I've got chest, and gaunts. Only ran it three times so far, half a raid on hard before the leader rage quit. So I only need boots and I'll be 30 after a few hours of game play.

Jumped on Destiny for the first time in a couple of months last night for the new DLC, did the raid (did not finish it). Pretty cool and really tough.

Been playing this again the last few days, stopped playing when I was on level 13 and having a friend team up with me in a fire team seems to level up faster and makes it heaps more fun.
