Dirty Boots - lick them Rabbits

It started off looking like a runaway game.
Let's be frank, it should have been 40-0 at halftime.
They had started to push a few plays in the first half, then again in the second.
Fitz rained them in.
3rd round, play within themselves, don't go more only to be talked up like the Broncos and Manly had been.
Straight replacement from the cousins, Sifa played AFB's part extremely well.
I was so happy for both of them when they were on the field together for the first time, albeit for only a minute then Sifa got the hip drop.
Hynes was superb in that first half, then they let Tricky play his part.
I feel that is what they are looking to be going forward. They both totally decimated Souths, it make no mistake, Hynes was the real conductor today.
When the Atko signing situation was going on I called out that he could be a very good specialist no.14, today showed why. He played a few different positions and covered them adequately.
No way on earth is he better than Tricky or Hynes, not even close, but he does offer the team as a whole that extra leverage in the 14 position.
Defence was great, and then they went into relaxed mode. I'm.not unhappy with that, Fitz has something to talk about in the presso.

I may add more later. Sitting at home now with a brew.
It was a great win, make no bones about it.

OOOOOOHHHHHHH EDIT!!!:
THEY HAD BALTER XPA ON TAP IN THE MEMBERS ET STAND!!!!!
I was a happy lad about that!

I was about to ask! One of my first cds I ever purchased. I was so happy to be moving up from cassette tapes. I think I bought Sonic Youth, the Soundgarden Flower EP, and a mother love bone tshirt all in the one hit. Record store in Hurstville...humbug? Or was that in Newcastle? Fuzzy memories!

It would have been Sound Garden Music in Hurstville mate.
My guitarist owned it.
There's some factual relevant trivia for ya!

Back on the Footy,
Stoney was injured but they had others more important that copped some. He had to stay on, reason? If he isn't available next week Hiroti can do his job. The others not so easily replaced.

Frenzy.

I'm not taking the piss, WK was unreal again.
Really good mate.
Great set up plays and his middle runs to take pressure off the forwards can not be understated.
AFB gave WK a huge endorsement @ interview after the game.

He was busier than I have ever seen him and he was at it from Tackle 2 of the game. He was up in the attacking line all game yet never got caught out of position in transition. Line break assists, try assists, tries, bomb defusals, backing up, filling in spaces, organising attack and defence.

Everything, the haters say he can't do delivered in the one game.

Absolutely.
I just needed someone else to say it.

Also… I hire 26-0 at 45 mins, did we just pack it in? Missed a chance to be 2nd.
They didn't pack it in. They lost BHU and Sifa. Stonestreet was a passenger from just before halftime. Brailey was battered. There was little bench cover. Also Atko came on and disrupted the flow badly. Probably because he played middle, hooker and helped Pebbles on the wing.

They just went into preservation mode for mine.

Brails is battered as well. He'll back up next week though. I think the new aggression is seeing him take more hits in defence as he doesn't exactly preserve himself
Yeah.
I suspect Fitz putting Atko in at Dummy half was not just a traditional faze, more of a "you need some time there, just in case" type thing.

Makes sense. Appreciate the insight.
Not long home and still processing the game - second half was a slog but again like last week, they just held the rabbits on a leash. Rabbits were ordinary.
First home game and it was bloody warm. Out of no where the sun came out during the Jets game and it became a sauna in the GA. Beer was shite but cold, crowd pretty entertained and facilities still rubbish - but enjoyable afternoon with Jets also putting on a show.
Finally, those corporate punters like @bad boy bubby need to do better - get some sonic youth, Mudhoney, Helmet or maybe even Brad on the turntable for the new cage bollocks thing. It might pump up the old punters and bring in new ones. Bloody belting Balter whilst GA plebs are chewing on great northern….
Oh yeah, Hiroti rules
