Why

Stadium will have increased patronage into the carpark and LC. I expect the opposite

NRL today is limiting how much a LC can fund the operation by paying players, coaches and football staff

So while it means clubs dont need LC money

It also means that same LC money will be used for other things football related eg CoE or spending $2-4 mil Reserve Grade & U21 operations

Look at how Easts pump LC money into the Central Coast and Bears recently while building facilities at Waverley
How do you explain the Parramatta Eels only contributing $4.5m towards their $65m CoE with the rest coming from the tax payer?

That's a lousy 6.9% of the bill for something that will give them an edge over their opponents.

The Cowboys acquired a $20m loan that they'll pay back with their own money for their $40m CoE.

RL being the #1 sport in western Sydney

And the Government want to build a community asset after the recent floods around the Hawkesbury

I suspect it will also serve as a evacuation centre

You will also read the facility is not just for Eels but multiple activities

And its in a rapidly exanding area of NW Sydney that was in need of infrastructure

How does rugby league being the number one sport in western Sydney justify the exorbitant amount spent by three tiers of government on one club after gifting them a $300m stadium?

Rugby league is also the number one sport across all of Queensland, yet our clubs are expected to pay their way.

You're just deflecting from the fact that Parramatta paid just $4.5m (6.9%) towards their $65m CoE despite your claim that Sydney's Leagues Clubs can use gaming machine revenue to fund their footballing instructure.

The Cowboys High Performance Centre is also a "community asset" available to the public and other sports, yet Cowboys are footing 50% of its bill. Looks like Cowboys actually invest in their community. Not like the parasites from Sydney.

Smart business on the Eels part I would think. And it will also be used by the community as well brainiac.

Townsville has a long history of voting for Labor at state level.

It would be good if V'landys could use his authoritive personality to convince the various levels of governments in ACT and NSW to invest in Bruce Stadium and Wollongong Stadium. One thing we have over soccer and fumbleball is teams in Canberra and Wollongong. Quality stadia for these regional teams will be a real boon for the game.If he manages to do this then he will be the best leader to have ever run the game.
