If we are still re-signing him and hoping for some sort of consistency after nearly 4 years and your opinion is that he is anything but then you should not extend unless it's for unders.

I didn't say his defence had improved and I wasn't insuiating that he was a good defender. I think he is the biggest liability in the NRL today.

.

According to RLW stats - Sandow has only missed 2 tackles more than Thurston - and he is a bloody future immortal.

Thurston hey? The second biggest defensive liability in the NRL.

If Sandow can win us half the games that Thurston does for the Cowboys he might start to provide some value.

what is this "tl;dr" stuff?

Too long; didn't read

It is for when merkins like myself or Poups go on long rants, rife with tangents and waffling aplenty. You provide a few lines, the 'tl;dr', about what the gist of your mammoth read is about for the people that don't want to read all of it.

Yep. It's Gen Y for 'executive summary'.

I'd keep Sandow, still the best half back we have had since Jason Taylor.

Tim Smith was mate. He had two amazing seasons for us 2005 and 2007. He also steered us to the semi finals. Sandow on the other hand is still in the dream phase.

40 TRY ASSISTS in his debut season. Kicking and passing games that are just yet to be seen again, running game almost non-existent though. Shame he couldn't keep his head screwed on either, I don't think we'll see anyone as naturally gifted as Tim for a while.

The only good thing about Chris is when he got $$$$$$$$$$$$ on himself to kick 40 /20
pity he didn't tell any one else.

Get rid of the bum...

Yes, Tim Smith who played in multiple finals series matches in his under 100 match NRL career.

Chris Sandow on the other hand has yet to experience that from his 150odd game NRL career.

LOL, I have to admit he kicks 40/20's with confidence but we rarely get to see them. Coach needs to tell him if we are on our 3rd/4th and struggling inside our 40, smash it up there before the wingers drop back and hope for the best. Easier said than done but it seems easy for Sandow.

TL;DR: Sandow is my favorite eels player so I'm going to say keep him, when he is playing behind a dominating forward pack in the dry he is a joy to watch.

Is it time to create a new bring back Tim Smith thread?
