Do we keep Sandow?

TL;DR: Sandow is my favorite eels player so I'm going to say keep him, when he is playing behind a dominating forward pack in the dry he is a joy to watch.

And that is why you don't keep Sandow imo. Too inconsistent. Love watching him play though, I think I'll be a fan of Chrissy even if he isn't in the Blue and Gold.

would there be another NRL side that would like to sign Sandow for 450k plus a year?

Would there be another club interested ...period ?

I want to keep Sandow but Manly are desperate.

I'm guessing Sandow is not on the top of their shopping list though...

With the amount of decent outside backs they have on offer, I'm still wondering if they will do something different next year and just buy some better forwards and stick Mateo and Lyon in the halves?

forgot about them lol

Yeah he could go there. The majority of other clubs wouldn't need him I dont think?

Maybe a juicy offer in the UK? Especially if he has a few back to back brilliant games

I would really worry about our kicking game with a Foran/Norman halves pairing.

It's all very well to have a big kicking game, but if Sandow is going to kick the ball then rush down field, miss the tackle and create a gap in the line, or if we don't chase the kick with any purpose, like we didn't do against the Tigers on the weekend, then any kicking game will be simply useless.

Also, our overall kicking game inside the opposition 20 needs to improve no matter who is in the halves.

Our long kick chase was terrible on Monday. The halves kicked and chased with no support. Poor attitude from the rest of them. Our short kicking game was woeful. We put no pressure on their catchers.

This thread is funny. Two weeks ago most people wanted him gone. Last week it seemed most people loved him and wanted him to stay. This week they again want him gone. Maybe we should sign all our players on a weekly contract and get some kind of phone-in type of situation where we decide if they're evicted or not?

Resigning Sandow would be a massive mistake and would be sign that we are still rewarding mediocrity. He only wants to stay at Parra because no one else wants him. Even Manly won't be stupid enough to sign him and they've lost both their halves. Sandow's long kicking game is over hyped because he kicks a 40/20 every now and then. Then usually messes the next set with some bone headed decision.

Norman has been our best player this year and is already contracted next. Partner him with Foran. They are both creative enough and mostly consistent. Sandow is a massive liability in most/all areas of a team sport.
