Do we keep Sandow?

Yeah, I was thinking about $350k. I reckon the best teams would pay their secondary half about that much.

Considering the "value" Sandow has given us over the last 3 years, is it conceivable the eels offered him something around 250k per year for 2 years. In part it is to prove himself of a bigger and longer contract afterward the 2 year period, in part it is based on what he delivered on his current 450k plus deal

I can see him rejecting and testing himself if offered 200-250k

Not to sure he would reject 350k, given after tax it wouldnt be too much of a difference to what he is on now

just my thoughts of course

Go watch alexander etc talk about sandow on matty johns, everything i have been saying. Sandow carried us in our only wins out of his skin and the storm game was obviously his worst game. Hand us the spoon now without him. I hope that isnt the case but if we win any it will be because our defence woke the f**k up not to do with the halves. We have leaked 40 tries in 9 games lol @ anyone who is deathriding our halfback its like tim smith II NO one learns

We won't win more or less without Sandow unless at least one of our halves decides to develop a short kicking game. Our halves are costing us games, something had to change and Sandow was the worst of the two.

Our team could have any half in the nrl so far this year we still dont make the finals. Live in your fantasy dream land though where unicorns roam all over the park bar the number 7

Our short kicking game is the worst in the NRL. If that's a fantasy then why do the stats back it up? We have created fewer repeat sets than any side in the NRL as far as I know. We score more tries from long range than any other side, otherwise we'd struggle to score.

Corey normans short kicking game? Can you show me the stat that shows sandow missing all 40 tackles before 40 tries

It's not even the missed tackles (though he tops the team in those and is close to top in the NRL). Even when Sandow makes the tackle he gets dragged or concedes a quick play-the-ball every single time.

I used to think we could carry that kind of defence but clearly we can't. And Sandow hasn't improved in any aspect of his game since coming to the club. He was good last year (not in defence though) but no better than in 2011 when we signed him. I concede that's probably to do with him joining a shit club but then surely the best thing for both player and club is to part ways. He should go somewhere he can improve, and we should get someone who will improve us. In fact I believe we already have, in Kieran Foran.

He hasnt been responsible for a lot of the short kicking.

And why not?

He's the halfback. He's a 150 game veteran. If Norman isn't doing the job, where is the dominant halfback pushing him out of the way? Where is the 150 gamer and marquee-paid player taking charge? Sandow has had a terrible short kicking game and refuses to take control of the side in the opposing 20. He is not playing anything approaching good footy. At least Norman is dangerous with the ball in hand, even though his kicking game has also been poor.

Zzzzzzz im ready for bed after that, sandow has been the most dangerous with ball in hand in our wins. You need jesus or the western sydney catfish, stop looking for life after hayne and do something else

In our wins, yes, he has just about. In our loses he has been MIA because he is as consistent as curdled milk. Norman has been consistently better and most of our attack comes from him

Last time we played without sandow was against the warriors and they won 48-0 (david middleton). Chicken little is ready for this weekend and your next scapegoat.

That was over there after origin (no Hayne)

Last time Kelly played warriors at parramatta we beat them in round 1 last year

I think we will surprise people this week. Norman should be able to take more control he's shown he can lead the boys around

Hope so.

Just thought it was an interesting stat being his first week back. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Tim Smith proved that he wasn't consistently up to first grade NRL standard.

You're right, Sandow is like Tim Smith II. Glad we're trying a new one next year, after four years of something that didn't work.
