Do we keep Sandow?

i don't get this payout business if i walked up to my boss and said "i'm quitting but i want a redundancy payout" he'd tell me to go f**k myself and i'd just get my entitlements why is it different with sandow?

Do you work for a place that has a salary cap, the implication of which is that if you stay employed but don't put in, you get paid anyway and the employer cannot practically replace you in the 'team'?

Once more it comes down a choice between paying a f**kwit $130,000 to do nothing good for us (and likely be a destructive influence) or paying $50k for them to go away. If we can actually use that $80k difference for something positive, we may as well do it.

I agree. But I don't think he'll accept $50,000. I think he'll hold out for $130,000. And I think we should just give it to him and let him f**k off RIGHT NOW.

I think the $80k difference is not by chance. That's the minimum NRL salary isn't it? There may be some was of extending and front loading a prospect (or maybe not).

He is still under contract and has certain entitlements

fair enough i'm not in the same situation but sandow's contract is based on him playing 26 rounds for the eels if he wants to go in round 19 and not play the extra 7 weeks why should the club pay him for that?

The Australian Public Service has operated like this for generations...

You were right. My boss just told me to go f**k myself. There goes my chance for promotion.

PARRAMATTA halfback Chris Sandow is facing two suspensions which could end his turbulent stint at Pirtek Stadium.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Sandow will be called before an Eels disciplinary committee later this week or early next week to explain why he posted an expletive-laden rant about the club on social media.

Eels insiders insist the culture has changed dramatically at Parramatta and breaches of the club’s code of conduct will not be tolerated.

Methinks he should have accepted the $50k payout. That or logged out before giving Paul Gallen's dad access to his computer

Naturally, it's a way for Brad Arthur to ensure he doesn't have to play Sandow again this year, whilst adding another incentive for him to take the 50k and run to England. Interesting suspension.

Hooper just said on Sterlo that Sandow will take the $50K payout and go to Super League within 48hrs

prob just stating the obvious most likely outcome

I'm very happy for him to go but will we really be stuck with Paulo and Kelly in the halves pretty much till the end of the season?

I hope we get get Henry or something to fill in otherwise I can't see where the points will come from......
