How good did we look when sandow was off and the dogs didnt know who to target in defence.

Sandow is a huuuuuuuuuuge liability in defence.

If he was exceptional in attack, i could cop his weak link in defence, but he is not exceptional in attack.... nor is he great...... maybe not even good............. just average

Like I said after last week's game, Sandow is one of the best playmakers in the game when his pack dominates. When they don't he's a liability.

Btw, i dont think Arthur will renew sandows contract. He understands he is a liability and even preferred Kelly over him untill he realised Kelly was utter rubbish.

Neither pack dominated tonight, we handle their pack pretty good. Injuries / ball control killed us

Sandow cannot pass the ball from left to right further than 7-8 metres, unless he stops, turns his back and passes from right to left

No half is perfect, sandow is in the side for kicking, running. I think we need to realise there are very few perfect halves in the game apart from thurston . Each is going to have issues, its just the coach needs to decide what he can build a side around.

You're attack is limited on one side of the field when your half cannot pass them the ball. It was heavily disguised last year because The Plane was in the team to compensate for Sandow's inability to pass the ball from left to right.

I don't disagree, but next year if we do go with norman / foran we will probably be complaining our halves running game aren't dangerous enough and we are too predictable.

Yes we do, sure norman manged some individual brilliance but when sandow went off we turned to shit when we had a lot of time in the opppsition 20. Sandow never recovered after that needle and to judge him after he was injured is ridiculous especially with how well the halves pairing worked last week. Give it a few weeks before we start headhunting.

Didn't we get back into the game and take the lead while Sandow was off?

Peats made 50 odd tackles. That's a fair work rate second match back from a serious injury, he's not going to get everything going right away.

As for Sandow, wait and see. If he's willing to stay for a little less, definitely worth thinking about.

Eventually but there were times our attack looked woeful immediately when he came off with good possession in the opponents 20, read what I said properly. As I said, Norman played well but Sandow wasn't the reason we were behind... forgive me if I find people scapegoating Sandow hilarious considering the Dogs had 99.99 percent of the ball in the first half before Sandow got injured. What did you want him to do in his time uninjured, conjure the ball into his hands and transform a side that wasn't tired from all the defending?

Instead of applauding Sandow for remarkably even coming back (he would still be injured today because he had a needle), some are trying to blame him for a performance he had little control of after an excellent display with Norman last week. Just calm down it's Round 2
