Once a money hungry grub always a money hungry grub. This whole exercise has been based on $$$ in my opinion and this little episode sort of shows it.

Just my opinion but I think the plan all along was to get the punt and take up a better offer in Europe or NRL but when they said no thanks, his only option was to appeal. Lol.

I think all charities now in one way or another have lost there way unfortunately... once I saw one of these guys on the street buying drugs...

Over $300,000 from 3000 donors ($100/donor avg) in one day so far, he might be on to something.

Would be interesting to see a breakdown of people's reason for donating, like Izzy, rightwing Christians or interested in a point of law etc?

Is it surprising that people who are conned every week in to handing over their hard earned would willingly do it again?

more interesting would be the socioeconomic breakdown. My guess is over mostly over 50 with a higher proportion being 60 and over , working class white people. Cultural reactionaries who feel theyre under attack - They listen to Alan Jones, watch Sky News and gobble up every morsel of Rupert Murdoch spin the can stomach. Right Wing and think Pauline Hanson makes sense with a few Frazer Anning supporters thrown in.

Oh I think there will be a lot of islanders donating money, a lot of whom don’t really have the money to give.

Yeah you only need go on social media and search any story on him. The amount of polynesians lending their support is crazy. That's their prerogative I guess.

Agreed. It'll be all happy clappers. Conservative white men over 60 aren't donating shit to a Poly sportsman's go fund me.

I can forgive the bloke for what he said online, but to ask for a hand out to mount a legal case really pisses me off. The people donating piss me off even more.

Like Drew Mitchell said (and bloody good on him) there are far more worthy causes (Folau’s isn’t even a 1 on the scale). Kids dying from terrible diseases, suffering from poverty etc. People suffering from natural disasters. Even the average joe, would be over the moon if people donated over $300k (and rising) to them. But nah, his cretin who is a multimillionaire needs it more.

If he’s such a devout Christian how come he doesn’t know about “greed” being a deadly sin? f**kin plonker!
