The problem for mine, apart from his lack of speed, is that he tries to do all that from fullback. As a one off trickshot per game, fine. But trying to be everything all of the time and it affecting his role as FB is detrimental to his game IMO.

Depends on the field position and tackle count, but most of all it depends on the specific team and its game plan.

In all them places I suppose. But, when there is a turnover or an early kick from the opposition, i have noticed in our games this year (that I've seen) that a lot of times there's no one home.

Well there often isn't. The fullback has a role in attack, he doesn't just sit back behind the line and wait for a possible turnover.

He's also usually closer to the line on early tackles to better marshal the line and cover line breaks.

I never said he should be waaaaaay back early in the count. Hineyrulz is entitled to his opinion. Maybe I'm blaming the wrong person. It's just dawned on me that if the people who's job it is to do the shit that Gutho feels he has to do as extras, can't do their job, then they should be the merkins who can f**k right off.

Based on fact everyone gets better with experience. It's not like players hate him and he is a brilliant tactician. Players seem to love him he just lacks tactics some better coaches do. So I am sure he has learned. I reckon he learnt from 2018 he can never had small wingers. So he bought 2 new ones. I also reckon he learnt you need a few big bodies in the pack. Hence Lane and Jnr.
The guy is not completely hopeless. If anything he has been a little to loyal and nice. Needs to be more of a merkin. And he will. And with Potter to help in attack he doesn't need to be a tactical genius.

At the end of day there are 15 other clubs and all their fans expect a top 4 finish and finals within a few years or after a rebuild period. Reality is unless you produce a superstar and have huge tpas your just the same chance as the other 15 who have the same hopes.

Yeah, if the thing you're trying to get better at is constantly evolving, like the NRL, then you aren't necessarily going to get better with experience. If it's something like woodworking you should be fine.
