And what was his son doing that was a problem?

As i said, the kid is a gun on the sidelines .... he is basically a free staffer ... full credit to him

Honestly, if you didnt see something bad come of his son being there then you are just whinging for the sake of it now
It’s amateur hour and should not have occurred. The end. My opinion. It’s ok if you disagree.

I’m a massive Alvaro fan and don’t mind Mannah coming off the bench. We just need Paulo and another prop. I’d also like someone like Ethan Lowe to partner Tepai who I’d play out wide. I’d let go of Mau whilst he is still valuable. He has regressed.

Ma'u started slow and his form looked poor but he's been excellent the last month.

115m and 43 tackles last week
135m and and 35 tackles vs Sharks
130m and 40 tackles vs Tigers
140m and 20 tackles vs Manly

He's comfortably outperforming Lowe who is himself in a slump.

Not that I wouldn't have a look at Lowe, he can kick goals and Ma'u can play the Beau Scott role off the bench, potentially, or the Kenny Edwards role if we choose to release him.

Lowe is a tough merkin and would compliment Brown well. I read somewhere that he is also one of the most effective tacklers in the game as was Scott in his prime.

Has this also coincided with him spending more time in the middle. I’ve been critical of Mau but I think he has played his best football in almost 2 years. I’d be looking to have him play Scott’s usual role.

Edit: or even tep’s role playing the first 20 on the edge and then moving to the middle.

I rate him highly.

However I don't think you can say Ma'u has regressed without also saying Lowe has regressed. Last year and in 2016 he was making 120m a game, 10m per run and 30 tackles.

This year he's sitting on 80m per game, 8m per run and 17 tackles. He's just not in the same league he was the last two years...he's good enough to find his form again, though, the way Ma'u has.

I'd not be against signing him and putting Ma'u on the bench in place of Scott or Edwards. Would depend on the other prop we got, I suppose. If we could nab someone like Ah Mau we might be able to afford Lowe. If we got Klemmer, I don't know that we could afford (or would need) Lowe.

If we bone Kenny and not re-sign Scott you make a good point about Mau. He will be here anyway as he is contracted until end of 2019 I think. I hope Jennings opts to leave and we sign a new centre or blood that giant, Aka alphabet or whatever his name is.

Talking about signing forwards an underated signing would be pat carrigan a bronco junior playing with Wynnum atm. With the broncs having to tie up pangai jr, haas and su'a maybe he'll get squeezed out. Great size and workrate.

But, Queenslander. We'd put the hard yards in then he'd get homesick (Broncos).

Thought it was unprofessional. Never seen it before.

Just because you've never seen something before, that doesn't make it unprofessional.
Maybe the kid has an interest in coaching, so his Dad let him watch him in the box for a game. I don't see anything wrong with that.

There have been occasions when kids have had a chance to be in the coach's box before, mostly sick kids who just love their footy team, so the club does something nice for them. If they aren't a distraction, then it doesn't matter.
