After making the semis the past few years, of course I was thinking we’d be able to win the Comp. Still think we have the team to do it too..

Did you think Penrith would only lose one game (regular season) last year and be undefeated so far this year?

Did u think after losing slater, Cronk than cam, melb would still be a force?

I don’t think anyone predicted Penrith would be the machine they’ve become and it’s safe to assume everyone’s been thinking melb will be in decline the past few years. But they keep on keeping on.


The reason fans are upset is the way we’ve played the past two weeks. No game plan, one dimensional and no sight of improving defense. Plus the coach finally admitting there’s an issue when fans have been saying it for a while now

Fair enough. Given our bet I didn't think you'd back a BA coached team to win the comp.

I predicted us to finish 2nd but as the season has gone on I don't see it happening.

I didn't predict what Penrith would do last year, but picked them as Premiers at the start of the year. I thought Melbourne would drop back a little but still be a force. They have surprised me.

I get why people are annoyed - our right edge defence is f**ken embarrassing and for a team that makes a lot of metres we struggle to set ourselves into proper attacking structures off the back of that. A lot of our tries are down to individual brilliance. There are times where we don't play like a team and work together as a unit in attack and defence. I think thats the fault of both the coach and the players and until we rectify it we will continue to be in the second tier of teams below Melbourne, Panthers, Roosters and Souths.

What I don't get though is the over enthusiam when we string games together and the complete shit bagging that people give BA when we lose a couple. It seems a bit bi-polar and ocassionally sets me off. Particularly that @hineyrulz merkin!

I predicted 10th based in our tactics not changing and getting exposed once other sides get going.

f**k stability and who gives a f**k if BA bleeds blue and gold. Look at Penrith, they chopped and changed coaches till they got it right and now they are contenders.

Do you really think it's the coach who made a difference there? It was the maturation of their development program that's turned them into contenders. A development program that Cleary had f**k all to do with. He's only there so they could re-sign his son for less than $1.2M

Maybe having Marata in the centres will turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Maybe BA will revert back to that. Or the structures in d get sorted. Not sure. But I still believe we can give the mf’er a shake.

But if we change and someone dares suggest that "eventually we will get it right" you will rip into them for accepting mediocrity.

How long will it be before you start sinking the knife into the new coach? Will you start threads wanting him to go?...and then if he goes and we get another guy...How long before you start stalking him and going through his rubbish bins trying to find some dirt on him that you can post on here?

...and then say we win a comp. You'll be like a heroin addict. You'll want another one...and before you know it you'll be hiding in Coles, stuffing hams down your pants and selling them on street corners just to get another fix.

If that’s the case why didn’t more people predict us to finish higher on the ladder?

As for BA, I don’t see to many people saying his contract should be extended. As has been said countless times, any change of coach needs to be a change to a better option.

I didn't pick us higher on the ladder because i have little faith in the coaching staff, the last 2 weeks has just reinforced my opinion.

I want BA replaced because I don't think we will win a premiership or even get to a grand final with him at the helm. And all signs point to that continuing. It's got nothing to do with our recent losses or where we are on the ladder. He can't get us to lift against the good teams at the end of the year. 1 semi final win in 7 years.

I thought we lifted in three of those losses (2017 and both 2020 finals). Obviously we lifted to smash the Broncos in 2019 as well.

Toovey couldn’t even get an interview at a few of the current clubs looking for coaches, think it was Tigers and Cowboys. He isn’t even involved in coaching anymore .......

why would we take a chance of a unproven rookie at this stage when we don’t need also considering the current rookies arent exactly travelling that great. And next year fitz will show how hard it is for a rookie
