Surely it is pretty difficult to sack a coach who's team has finished Top 6 five of the last six seasons and has never been outside of the Top 8 at any stage of the season in the last 4 years.

And why should they? Any given win or loss is just another data point among many. Coaches don’t get to pick and choose which games their team wins.

My mail is that if we win at least 2 of our next 3 games, BA will be here next year, if not then who knows.
My mail (and I can't believe there is any truth to it) is that IF the board removed BA then they will look at promoting from within (Barrett or Mary included).

I should also point out that my vote is still in the NO on this thread...I'm just saying I can't see things changing now no matter what the results are over the next few weeks.

My take on this is that it isn't the results of the next 3 games that is the determining factor, but rather the result over the course of the year and where our season ends.

Consistently achieving a top 6 position is great and it shows necessary consistency, however there is a point where improvement beyond finishing in the top 6 becomes the next desired goal and this is something we have been unable to achieve. Hence the next 3 games (i.e. making the prelim) determine whether we have gone up a level from "consistent top 6" and why I believe these results will determine the coaches future.

I was given some possible names and none of them are currently within.

I've said for a while that I'm happy for him to stay, if he got more help.

Signing Barrett as an assistant, and Brown as the Pathways Director, was a good start.

But because Trent doesn't officially start until 2023, we kind of have to wait until then to determine how we are travelling.

But I am pretty excited about Barrett being on board.
