4th position is a fantastic result considering the inconsistency during the season and Brad Arthur deserves credit for that.

It sucks that we lost but I reckon BA now officially has a pulse beating in his arsehole. If we lose next week and we go out in straight sets there will be plenty of justification in sacking him with a 2 from 11 semi final record. If we win he will survive and probably have the easier preliminary final to get us into the GF.

This is true.

I just can't believe he didn't swap in Nathan Brown to that nech spot - this was the game to try it. Now we're more gassed for next week than we were, and our confidence in our depth/bench abilities is shot.

Still, that wouldn't have helped the Blake factor, which was the biggest contributor to the loss - hopefully Russell trains there and comes into that spot to reflect his Round 1 selection, with Blake in need of the "rotation policy" next week.

I think if we lose next week (and he fails his KPI) then Arthur will "quit", and the succession plan for Barrett will be initiated.
