Was always wondering how footy players get paid.

Is it monthly, fortnightly, weekly or ?

Also be interesting how much a lets say JT gets taxed each pay day :?

Coupons, paid tri monthly. Except in months ending in 'Y', in which case the coupons are hidden in a random girl's underwear in a nightclub and they have to seek them out themselves.

JT pays his tax via a swear jar fund.
He is grossly overtaxed.

Club > Manager > Player

or

Club > Player > Manager

or

Don't know what JT is on. Would guess 800K +. Tax rate listed below. Work it out.

If taxible income is $180,001 and over, individuals pay$54,547 plus 45c for each $1 over $180,000

So he'd be on a mill say and ignoring additional income like rep payments and the fact that his endorsements might not all come as a salary and the fact that a portion of his wage would go to his manager..
He'd be paying about 424k in taxes a year. So he'd have just under 50k land in his account each month and 35k would go off to the ATO.

Also the year has flown past. I didn't realise it was November. Who won the premiership this year?

He'll be paying a bit more tax soon courtesy of the Libs - with Medicare levy included, the top marginal rate will be 49% from 1 July 2014.

You'd think he'd be getting around 45K a month after tax, assuming his income from rep payments and other income takes his earnings to somewhere around the $1million mark.
