Dont think it was a choke but their finals record since 2004 is absolutely appalling. Out in straight sets AGAIN 2 losses in a row to exit (cant remember but recall it happened to them recently). For a team talked up as finals specialists they are certainly a shadow of the past teams which earnt that reputation.

how was that a choke??

we had our best player off the field, and we fought till the end.

yes, the dogs of war thing is a myth, hopefully the media get over it. Its been a myth since the 90s

It has been hard for teams to even make the finals to defend their title the year after winning it...
The bulldogs missed it the following year
The tigers missed it the following year
and the Broncs scraped through and got wiped like a dag off a sheep's bum in the first round...

I dont think that they have done that bad. Granted they are in my top three hated teams but to get to this stage is in this years competitive comp is a credit

True, they hung on well and I was very worried till Tahu scored of a dogs error.

I consider it a choke to an extent.

What other excuse could their be for their 5th tackle options ? Bulldogs arn't that bad.

Losing =/= Choke.
In all reality, the Eels haven't choked that much either. Being outplayed =/= choking. Teams can have off days. I think 1998 was the only real choke of the Eels. They were just outplayed by other teams (Knights/Cowboys). Claiming chokes all the time does not give proper dues to the teams that won those games.
