Tonga was struggling to press for first grade at Parramatta, his best form was in his first couple of years in the Blue & White. Andrew Ryan's earned his name at the 'Dogs and never reached fantastic heights at Parra - he was like Tonga - struggling to push for FG.

Lyon and Vaeleki were international centres. At the time, Lyon was the best centre in the game and Vaeleki was in a rare patch of form. Any centre would struggle to push past those two at that stage in their respective careers.

And as for Ryan struggling to get into FG?
You = Idiot.

Read my first post in this thread. You're being a pedant about how the shirt is worded and ignoring its point. It has everything to do with it and you know it.

Your first post about the shirt was you seemingly admitting that it was bullsh*t....

Or did I interpret that wrong??

Yes you did interpret it wrong.

The front quote "Bred not bought" is meant to sh*tstir but there's far more truth to it than you would ever like to admit. There's been numerous discussions which you're keen to ignore where Bulldogs supporters have admitted the wording could be better but the bottom line is that the Roosters have purchased 4 rep level players from the 'Dogs recently - BOUGHT. The Roosters have made no such accusation in return so I don't see why that is up for debate.

At the end of the day, surely you should've done your research into the shirt and what it's meant to signify before blowing your top about it's point, which over a month later is still of concern to you and a lot of your crowing fellow supporters.

Andrew Ryan played 2 games of SOO at Parramatta, and has played 10 since joining the Bulldogs.

His Wikipedia entry (not exactly a source but mentioned nonetheless) states "after three years at Parramatta, Ryan was unable to establish himself in the first grade team".

Surely this would be correct - behind players like the Hindmarsh brothers and so on...

Youll never get over 2002. 04 I can handle.

I could say the same in reverse... doesn't make it true. 2002 is 6 years ago... if it's something that still gives you pleasure then I dare say you're over little.

Ryan played Lock, Backrow, Prop, 5/8 and Centre for the Eels, as well as coming off the Bench as an impact player. He definetly wasn't struggling to get into the side.

He played 2 SOO games for the Eels, but he was only there for 3 years, at the beginning of his career.

If some other club were to purchase SBW and he stayed there for another 10 years, playing another 30 tests for NZ, compared to the handful that he has played now at the Bulldogs, would you say that team X made him?

It's all relative. Play longer at team B than team A and be of rep quality, and of course you'll get more rep jumpers at the team B.

Now, I've had a look at his wiki as well, just to have a look here.

Years Club Apps (points) 2000–2002
2003–present Parramatta Eels
Bulldogs 73 (64)
120 (132)
So, he was only at the Eels 3 years, but yet made 73 appearances...? Doesn't sound like he was really struggling to get into that first grade side now does it?

You = idiot.

the shirt, and the you moronic dogs fans argument, is that you develop all your own players, and we dont. Clearly such a point is wrong.

The captain of your side was bought as an established rep player

Our captain had fallen out of favour and out of the rep teams. Good coaching and development saw him regain his spot and take it further.

Wrong he is in the best form of his career now been the best player on the field 3 weeks straight
Myles was unwanted by the bulldogs
so was Anasta and O'Mealey
Mason left cause your ceo's and Board of directors were shiitehouse that is obvious with the changes made in that department with a coaching change to follow up as well.

Wrong. Myles was at his best at the Dogs. He is yet to play like he did back then.
He was wanted but we could not afford to pay overs for him.
Mason left because he struck a deal with beesting and fittler earlier in the year.
Anything that was stated and claimed by Mason was a straight out lie.

If it says it at Wikipedia it must be true....

The debate is on the BRED section of the shirt, Timmah....

Unless you want to count hand picking the cream of the 15, 16 and 17 y.o rep squads from NZ and other junior competitions, then the bulldogs simply do not breed ANY players at all.

Are you ignoring the bit where I said "not exactly a source"? F*ck me do people read before posting?

Grail... why didn't Ryan play SOO in 2002?

Let's debate your use of the word ANY, hey?

 Move along, you've lost.

If they wanted to stay wouldn't they have - do you know what a team in turmoil does to players.

Well good luck to them they showed their disgust by going on the market and Roosters bought them. But that is what the game is all about buying first grade players who are on the market.

Name me another team that doesn't do it - Souths had a cracker time last year and out of that you lost A piece of toastie. Did we hear yelp and cursing then - you probably wanted to get on the movies

It seems to me you just want to cover up the aweful state the club has been in for ages. New Coach, may make a difference but still the smell of garbage is coming from the Bulldog camp.

Really?

You put it in capitals... made a point of it.

Dig your own grave.

The use of the word ANY can be likened easily to the Bulldogs' use of BRED. If you want to debate BRED, I'll take you to the cleaners on the "ANY" statement you've made. Simple as.

 Yes, I've got all this stuff to cover up... I'm a Bulldogs director and I know all the terrible goings on - mate - wake up to yourself, we're supporters on a forum not business people trading barbs.
