Hopefully he keeps improving and doesn't just drop off the radar like the Saifitis have this yearGone from one of bigger liabilities to one of our best in 12 months. He could be anything this time next year.
Not sure this is really the case anymore. Wingers get more carries than centres do and kick returns are very important. I’d argue that centre is now a less important role than wing. You aren’t going to keep him unless the plan long term is centre. He is far too good to be a winger.
This is 100% correct. I've spoken a lot in the past about player motivation, the fact that I think most players in our squad don't really have it and are happy just chilling in Newcastle, etc... but Dom is evidently not one of those. He has his own personal motivations to want to improve and be the best player he can be.Besides his obvious physical gifts Dom Young has something the majority of our squad dont - A will and drive to be the best.
Imagine the determination of a young fella to leave his family and country to come half the world away to test himself.
Young didnt come here to lose- the majority of the squad should be more like this kid.
That's the reason I fear he'll leave. Clearly an ambitious and confident kid if you watch his interviews, doubt he'll be content getting smashed every week. This is 100% correct. In short, we haven't ruined him yet.
I dont doubt this at all. He's a special talent.he'll be one of the best outside backs in the comp if given the opportunity to be.
