Mathematically they do however any such thought amongst the players should be encouraged not discouraged because with confidence and fans behind them no matter how long the shot, if we knock off the Warriors and a stumbling Penrith who knows what could happen in the last game

After looking at next weeks games I thought the West Tigers V Broncos game gave us hope. Broncs beat the tigers, we beat the Warriors, we are once again 2 points outside.
This morning I read the Broncos have 3 key players in doubt for next week and suddenly the Broncos beating the Tigers isn't so certain.
Guess we should have taken care of business when we had the chance.

its not exactly, technically, mathematically impossible for us to make the 8

but i think realistically we can't, the big problem is being consistent enough to win the remaining 3 games, especially when 2 are against the GRand Final teams from last year????

pity this is growing ever increasingly like Ground Hog Day from last year (in particular) and even 2002 to a degree

and the big pity is that if we do win the remaining games and players improve, it will all be due to Smithy's coaching and him turning everything around - and him keeping his job

and if that happens "that will make me a very sad Panda"

Realistically I don't think we can make it but it sure is a damn good feeling winning a few games and having a shot at it. It's good to be able to look forward to a game rather than dreading it

Well the pressure is off us as we are effectively out anyway if one team above us wins. However, the pressure is on the teams above us to win and some are coping well with the pressure obviously. I reckon the games can continute to go our way. :mrgreen:

lol, close Misty. Last year it was Wagon himself who made the break, and failed to pass inside to Morris which would have given us the momentum to win by 28. But we know what you mean
