Alien vs Predator would have to be the choice for worst movie of 2004. It was an absolute disgrace to two of the biggest franchises in movie history. It would have to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Then came Doom in 2005. Im still wondering what the hell I was thinking when I bought a ticket to see that crap. The rock was the only good thing in it, but he couldn't save it.

I honestly can't split the worst A list movies made over the past two years. What is your vote?

Alien vs Predator had so much more to live up to, and delivered far less.

Doom had nothing, offered nothing, deserves nothing.

Haven't seen Doom, but to be honest I didn't mind AVP. Sure, it was a travesty to both franchises and couldn't get most of the facts straight, but I was entertained on face value (admittedly partly due to its stupidity) and that's all I was after.

Havent seen Doom yet, but it would truly have to be a stinker and a half to even go close to matching AvP. I cant believe i wasted 700 meg of bandwidth to watch that turkey

AVP was a fun no-brainer Z-grade popcorn flick.

Anyone expecting the new Citizen Kane was expecting a bit much.

"The Cave" was woeful.

As for "Alien VS Predator" and "DOOM"...

"DOOM" featured The Rock. 'Nuff said.

The Rock is awesome.

Yeah, I've not seen Doom, but The Rock's presence in it takes it a notch above a movie starring Raoul Bova anyday.

AvP literally made me feel ill. I could have donated that $8.80 to a charity and fed some kid for a day.

AVP

worst movie ever

movies like AVP have inspired me to stay clear of such remakes of video games such as doom etc.. so i cant really vote any other way

And think of all the money they could of given instead of wasting it on making that stinker.

I demand they donate the entirety of their $80 million box office take to ending world hunger

A lot of Aussie films have the ability to do that.

at the end of the day there are more bad movies than good ones.

Why do i feel that i only ever go to the bad ones.

As a huuuuge fan of the Alien and Predator films I wasn't expecting too much from AVP. I knew it would only be a special FX vehicle with a few good action sequences.
Thought it was okay, but then again my expectations were not that high.

Doom was worse in my opinion.

Alien Ressurection was the worst of the alien and predator franchises. That movie sucked so badly. The silly premise to keep Ripley in it ( more f**ken' cloning) was sh*tty and the human/alien hybrid in the end was utter garbage. The film had a really sleazy feel to it. AVP was better. The best thing for the alien franchise was to let go of Ripley at the end of Alien 3 when she.....died!
The alien franchise would be better off without her f**ken' clone.

Going back to AVP, I was not overly impressed with the premise of having aliens on earth way before the nostromo crew came across them in the far reaches of space.

They should have stuck with an earlier script where it was set on another planet.
