This example is obviosly taken from a rugby union guide (as the orginal author mentions in his post). In rugby union it is totally illegal to tackle the player after he puts through a kick, and to put in a shoulder charge after a kick would be a yellow or depending on the ref a red card offence. However in RUGBY LEAGUE it is fine to put in a shoulder charge on the kicker as long as its not late or initial impact is high, which in this case both were fine
