Anyone watching the Cricket?I think with forward pack going forward and someone to address his lack of confidence and enjoyment of playing the game .I think it's worth giving a go as captain. He could be a champion if he wasn't so sad on the field
Sixers Back to BackAnyone watching the Cricket?
Lomax is too young wont happen. Can’t pick a captain who’s not guaranteed a starting spot. Whereas Sims & Lomax will be among the first picked if fit every week.
I still think Sims (c) and Lomax (vc). We don't need Widdop, we have enough experience in the halves, if B Smith is not signed we should go Norman 6 and Sullivan 7 and Hunt to 9.Lomax is too young wont happen.
This is why VC is a better option than Co-captains croc. Lomax VC is a good selection, as he is learning the ropes and developing his skills talking to the media. He also has a long term contract and view to a club he actually "loves to play for" I do believe he is future Captain material.I still think Sims (c) and Lomax (vc). Well in Hook we trust right? I just don’t see Hunt commanding any respect unless he’s going to be taking on the line much much more. Forwards don’t respect a catch & pass halfback.
He is also the only player McInnes aside that you could argue that week in week out is close to our best player in a poor season last year. This is why VC is a better option than Co-captains croc. I don’t even see the debate. Forwards are obviously our soft spot this year & Sims is the only standout who commands authority to rip new a holes if middle defence goes soft.He is also the only player McInnes aside that you could argue that week in week out is close to our best player in a poor season last year.
With Hook putting a pause on contracts, does it become harder for the club to appoint a captain?
Hook has backed Ben Hunt so he's a fit and he has a good standing in the game.
I'd like to see Vaughan given a shot. He's a rep player, a leader and given he's a prop, the club should want to retain him.
For this year, the captain could be driven from more of a players decision.
can’t see anything the club has done in the offseason to say I trust anything related to St George
Whoever it may be, l hope they nag the refs like Cam Smith does.
I'm sure he works on percentages of getting a penalty.
Its the squeaky door that gets oiled.
Early to judge, but feel the same.
As to Captain, there is no standout.
I'm still guessing he will go with Hunt. I don't think he has earned it, but as another poster said, it may ignite him to better things.
I remember the days when being a Captain meant something special.
Spot on, Tru.
I remember when being a Saints fan meant something special as well.
Hopefully, we can get back there sooner rather than later.
