Rooster supporters are a strange breed. Their club is seemingly always in the market for every player in the NRL, but they expect complete loyalty from within. Go figure.
it is interesting cause in this weeks RLW The Mole has the following story
ORIGIN STAR WANTS OUT
Which star NRL playmarker is telling anyone who'll listen he's desperate to get out of his current club? The player - with origin experience - is offside with his coach and would jump at an opportunity to leave. Sadly, he;s under contract for another 18 months.
The players that are player makers and have played Origin in the last 5 years are:
Soward - Off Contract end 2013
Pearce - Off Contract end 2013
Gidley - Off Contract end 2015
Thurston - Off Contract end 2013
Wallace - Off Contract end 2014
Campese - Off Contract end 2015
Bird - Off Contract end 2013
Prince - Off Contract end 2014
Mullen - Off Contract end 2014
Hayne - Off Contract end 2014
Going off this it can only be Soward, Pearce, Thurston, Bird
Could be Bird. Apparently he wants to finish his career at the Knights under Bennett.
What approach is that? Dumping the captain and chasing big name myths like SBW? aka the standard Roosters approachDon't believe everything you read. Especially nowadays with the approach the club is making.

there are only one group of people in the game that are loyal.......the teams supporters....Most of them support no matter what....players or clubs are not loyal, it is now a business. You cant really blame players, look at your job, if the opposition come and offered you double your salary you would take it.....
There is loyalty...would you describe deano, hornby, creagh etc as disloyal?
Agree but we have been linked to every good half back lately...which in short means we wont get him.
Bring back gaba, he needs this news.
I could think of worse players to chase. He has a great kicking game and is a tough half back.
Given the lack of halves around I would certainly take him, as long as he wasn't demanding ridiculous money.
I will be suprised if this is not Matt Cooper's last season.
