In sentiment I agree with your last paragragh, but we did that only a couple of seasons ago with Beau HENRY, who was the the best player in the NYC with daylight second. Look what happened to him, he's now playing for oblivion, likely never to be seen again.

Haha good point... Beau Henry is a PRIME example of talking up certain juniors and putting the blinkers on when they fail.

The juniors system was never meant to be foolproof, just like in any sport there is always potential some kick on and some don't but it would be foolish not to invest the time and money in your juniors and just chase players proven with an open chequebook, it just doesn't work that way.

Go for anyone but Henry in my book that has ability and available. Why bother buying back a player that you've already let go? Hasn't offered enough elsewhere to justify another crack with us IMO...

Agree, its always best to put more time and money into your own junior, they have the most potential for surprising you, and are most likely to stay for less dollars.

Sometimes it doesnt work out, but buying in has risks too, you could buy in a 500k lemon, but sometimes you have no choice but to go down that path, but the Dragons usually opt for cheaper players that have potential.
