Dragons Coup

Strong rumours are coming out of the St George-Illawarra Dragons that 3 Dragons players have approached the CEO and the Chairman. It is believed that one star Dragons player has reportedly been forced out of the club to free up money for an off-contract Bulldogs player.

The Chairman today on Tripple M denied these rumours, yet it was interesting to note at the start of the program he denied any knowledge of these rumours and then at the end of the program he said that he heard them. Also he avoided the question when asked if any players had approached the CEO, Peter Doust and avoided the question by stating that Doust and Brown were business partners.

Sports Tonight revealed that the Dragons have believed to have made contact with former Australian coach, Chris Anderson.

That club has had far too many injuries over the past two/three years.

Might some of the physical conditioning at the club be responsible? Just out of curiosity, it can't all be just bad luck.

Ive read that the player in question is Timmins. I dont wanna add fire to the rumour, but apparently Brownie wants him gone at seasons end and a few senior players are upset.

Hope all is well.

  Love the offseason rabble. Like the last year and the year before, it will turn out to be a rumour, just what it is now, only a rumour.

David Boyle was the club trainer for the last few years. He has since "left" & now we have Mary "jobs for the boys" McGregor.

Same old, same old...

I think this isn't necessarily a bad thing PROVIDING the ex club player can do the job as well as or comparibly to an outsider...whats Marys qualifications to be a trainer? Having played a long career doesn't necessarily mean you can pull on the whistle, grab the clipboard and run the joint

i seriously think it has something to do with the trainers. I mean how can it not. Its to much of a coincidence to have the amount of players injured with ankle knee hamstring injuries

i believe the training is the issue here.

Does McGregor have primary responsibility for player fitness maintenance and development at the club?

If so, what are his qualifications? Is he a qualified physiotherapist or something?

Mary wears a blue shirt and is not head trainer or conditioner. Gasnier may not play many games this year and Ryles may well be in the same boat due to "injuries"

He probably likes a beer and a punt.

That's all you need on your CV to get a job at the Dragons these days...

Phew!

For a second there I thought the inference was that McGregor was the head trainer and conditioner...
