Can Ryan Webb please come to the fore and let us know what in hell is going on ffs!!!

Where is the club heading with recruitment, retrenchments, pathways etc for the years ahead.

If we cannot secure one of the best recruiters in the business then let us know what the clubs alternatives are even if it is to say that Haran and Millward will continue with these tasks in the absence of Shane Millard. Just tell us something for heavens sake.
Don’t think Haran or Millward are recruiting these days so they are not to blame

Yep and on top of this failure we need to know who is responsible for failing to recruit every player we have targeted so far which is at least 15 players and who has failed to retain or released some of our guns?
Who is responsible?
Any thoughts?
I mean its not actually true ... but it is not far off ...
The club has recruited 7 new players into the top 30 this season of varying quality.

Haran/Webb/Millward though - dont seem to be able to get the job done with the top % do they.

It isnt a new thing though ...

We let go of Cook because of Mitch Rein
we let go of Robson because of Cam McInness
we let go of frizell because of JDB
we let go of Lomax because he upset the wrong people with his attitude

Some people who have been in these kinds of roles for a number of years have not really earned their paycheck

Not to mention Garrick, Saab, Wishart, AFB, Bird in his prime,

With all of what we have said, that is why us missing out on having a guy like O'Sullivan has to be like a knife being thrust into the Dragons belly and slaying him. We really need someone that has that killer instinct in him and knows how to close out deals. If Flanno says that we need a back up hooker, he just needs to discuss this with the recruiter like O'S and now whoever it might have to be and they just get it done. No ifs or buts and no dilly dallying about with procrastination. Just get it done.

Surely the Board members are wanting answers as well as to why we have been missing out.

This matter just keeps going round and round in never ending circles. "Players leaving oh that's OK, we will get a replacement. Oh dear, we cannot sign anyone, we tried but they didn't want to come to the club. Oh well, let's see who else we can try and get". No wonder they say that there are not that many guys available to sign up, they are going elsewhere.

Correct DD and even clubs like the Tigers attract top talent like Api and Jahrome
Players sign either for money or to play under a coach they like in the hope they improve their game and win a comp
Recently we have more than matched offers from a money perspective and we have come up with doughnuts.WHY?
They are the facts.
‘Does anyone think if Bennett was here we would have the same issues?

I don't think we would have any problems recruiting some decent players if we were lucky enough to have Bennett again as our coach. It seems weird that the last premiership Bennett has won was in 2010 with us. He has got other teams into finals and grand finals since then but has not won a premiership for nearly 14 years. That tells me that he either did not have the right personnel with the players in all of those other clubs and maybe his assistants or he didn't come up with winning formulae to win those grand finals for the Broncos and Rabbitohs ( we know who ballsed up the Broncos chances of winning the grand final against the Cowboys). I might be wrong but I cannot see him winning another grand final for the remaining years of his coaching career. He definitely will have teams making finals again (I think the Dolphins will be one of the teams in the final 8) and Souths will turn up for next year for sure.

I don't think it is Flanno that players are not coming to us - he might not be a great seller but he is a decent coach. His past is long gone and the young ones now playing couldn't give a toss about it I would imagine. It must be the logistics of the two clubs and maybe the administration and how the clubs are being run could be the problems. Two grounds?? - it is hard to say what really is the problem but it has gone on for too long and it needs to be nipped in the bud by the club. Who knows, we may not even be interested in several of the players who have been rumoured to be targets by us - just the managing agents building up the case for their clients and using the Dragons to get better deals. Why us for god's sake? The more they bring us into their negotiations the more we look bad when we don't end up with the player who wasn't even on our radar. Who is to say that the Dragons were dead set wanting Peter O'Sullivan. He might have been looked at and some offer made to see if he would come but O'S might have had other needs that the Dragons were not agreeable to meet and not bothered to up their ante. Unless someone from the club actually spells out to us fans what has happened, it's any one of us at guessing.

We know what we want, the club also know what they want. Are they the same?

Whilst missing out on POS, there are factors that need to be thought through before berating the Club.

In some way, I'm both disappointed and at the same time ok with not getting his signature.

There's no doubt he is a recruitment specialist, however, there is bad blood between him and certain Board members, that would have laid heavily on his decision. Further, in the opposite court, is his alleged involvement in some, let's say, no so couture deals in the past.

I'm not sure the Dolphins are on their knees, wanting him to stay either. Throw in of course Wayne could have brought him to the Rabbits, that didn't happen either.

Food for thought.
