Leading 42-10 over Manly with less than 10 minutes to play.

Steelers have had no ball, but the Raiders are just rolling through them easily.

See I'm very curious how good the forward stocks are in the steelers system, cause we've already jammed up with kids from our pathways from the dragons system.. there aren't a lot of opportunities left, so they would have to be absolute standouts.. backs are a bit different, there havent been many making names for themselves bar Buchanon and the young halves (which are far too early to tell).

Edit: In again.. and again.. 26-18 after being down 4-18, looking forward to a 15page essay on the performances Ronny!

This was an issue during the trials, these slow starts.

Two weeks they have started very slow and stormed from behind. Seems like they need to work on how they start the game, whether that is intensity or ball control.

Mate, you wouldn't believe it, Fatherly duties called at short notice and ai had to leave after our first try! It was 14-4 and the Raiders scored to make it 18-4 as I was getting in the car!

I thought the Raiders came out on fire and that the Steelers didn't lose their cool. I'm not surprised they came back.

Reed is a natural. With all his gifts, his best might be he doesn't get flustered. Looked easily the most comfortable player on the park, even in the small bit I saw. Meafou was notable for his defence in the early going when we're falling off everything. Ramses didn't play. Only saw Jarrah have a couple of hit ups and of course, I missed the comeback.

Buchanon was on the Red V Podcast, I think it was this week or last week.. suspect he's going to take that cup spot very soon.. not sure if he can play left and right.. I think Tamale has the left spot locked up.

The cup backline is very interesting, especially if Hayden pushes his way in there. I'd suspect most of the season for him will be in Flegg but assuming Tuipolotu starts the year in firsts we'll have Mat Feagai, Max Feagai, Tamale, Finau, Bird? and Buchanan all pushing for only 4 spots.

Yar, I think starts in JF for sure, but who knows how 1st grade or injuries will play out.. will also help if JF is winning games.

Why I think Buchanon will be ready sooner than the average back though, he says he played in the forwards all his life, so physically he will handle himself.. probably a bit of Aitken in him..

It was only 20 minutes in at 18-4.

Raiders didn't score another point.

Canberra started hot and the boys made a few errors and gave up some tries, but what I saw in the first twenty showed they never put their heads down or panicked at all.

Some good players. Big strong kids.
