Rava’s output on the footy field this year is true testimony to the piss poor input of the previous coaching staff including the much heralded Flanno.

Hook arrives enlists specialist help and gets immediate results in all facets of Rava’s game whereas the previous dead brain society would say try harder and drop you to CC to never be seen or talked to again.

Well done to him and long may he bring a smile to our faces as he proudly wears the famous big red v

With no disrespect intended how good does a big strong proud Fijian look in our jumper just awesome IMO.
Reminds me of the Apisai Toga days....the new Apisai....?

Mate, I want to know what he has shown thus far to earn a new 3 year deal.
I know some people rate him, and maybe he has upside, but its not like he's an unknown quantity.
Thats one spot now secured for 3 years. I think it was a knee jerk signing by the club, to divert from the mess. I could well be wrong, and hope he proves me such.

Hmmm,

Not one of my best posts. :) :)

Yes, and I have it in the back of my mind that Ravalawa could be the answer as the edge forward to replace Frizell. He is fast enough, big enough and strong enough.

I sure most don't want to hear this but the previous administration brought Rava from Mounties and last year offered him a 3 year extension. I'm not Mary fan, I have the scares to prove it, but somehow Mary and co. brought him through to First Grade and he was improving for all of last year.

Have been a big fan of his and can see he is getting more athletic and is slowly building his endurance. With another off-season under his belt, I think he will be at another level vying for best wingers in the comp.

So we need to thank Mary and Millward for getting Rava and helping him last year.

Dog act aye!
what about the three attempted shoulder charges from the two brothers and Connor Watson and Barnett’s elbow in the head as Rav was falling
but yes let’s just report and print focussing on a brief brain explosion from a fired up player who just burst through a wall of attempted tackles to lay him out that went wrong for them

The Author of the article is a big Dragons fan.

Yes trying to spark a so called revenge game In the media in prep for next timeWhich likely nights would do privately automatically anyway
I know it’s the TVs and journos job to promote future feeds before certain games that don’t really exist any more especially on field
Journalism comes before loyalty

Very glad that the judiciary will be having a word with those Knight players who shouldered charged Rava . After looking at the replay - numerous times there is no doubt that it was them and not Rava that had caused the knockout to the unfortunate Mann .

Rava is running at them at full pelt and he is hit both left and right by the Knight’s shoulders which causes Rava’s elbow up from that impact into Kurts face .

Certainly not Ravas fault at all , in fact their was no intention on his part . Obrien should give him self a bluudy big uppercut for the tactics he employed for his players to use against the Dragons .

Another thing , that bluudy Pearce stiff arm on Simms was worth 10 in the bin . The fact that the dog done his shoulder in the attempt would had been of little compensation to the Dragons if Simms had suffered a broken jaw .

Damn pleased to see the Big Red V fight fire with fire for a change .
I agree re Pearce hanging out the arm which was very stiff

At the time I said to the beloved grandson Pearce should have been binned and also made to front the judiciary.

In fact I think that suspensions should not be served concurrent with an injury resulting from the incident forcing the perpetrator to be on the sideline.

They should serve the punishment separately.

Heat of the moment, Rava probably didn't even know he was concussed. The Arrow/Tedesco one was worse.

Yet again Fairfax journos hanging sh#t on the Dragons, they are probably pissed off we are doing well given their ridiculous agenda against our coach (on behalf of their mate Gus).

Knights apparently filthy (news article today) on him for getting fired up when Mann went down. Truth is he was angry that Saifiti came in with a shoulder and letting him know.

You can tell the Knights are hurting in more ways than one.

Yeah, Rava was pumped and what you say is correct.

Sadly the media didnt focus on this pic, instead of a split second reaction.

Totally agree O.T. - the penalty had to come , but he should had been reported as well .
The point you have raised about serving any suspension ( if the incident had been before the judiciary ) to be served only after he had recovered from his pec injury is absolutely correct.

That has always been a bone of contention for me , having players maliciously hitting their opponents - one way or another then being injured during the game and suspended for their actions , only to see the suspension period gobbled up by the time it takes while the individual is recuperating .

It is wrong and that is something that the big boys down at the NRL should be looking at .

Rava was fired up at the brothers then reacted when he saw he'd left one Knight in the dirt, probably just didn't realise how much damage he'd done at the time. Dragons, especially Sims, showed more concern for an old teammate than any of his Knights mates did anyway.
