No question marks over this signing. It is a positive one for our club. Now let's add a flashy hooker.
Thanks Wayne for keeping us updated
What were his stat's last year?Great, another average, lightweight 2nd rower, just what we need.
I just looked at his stats against the Doggies - 80 mins, 9 runs, 86mtrs, 24 tackles, 3 misses. His 2nd row partner Koloamatangi - 80mins, 21 runs, 238 mtrs, ( 125 pcms ), 29 tackles, 1 miss. Why aren't we signing players like Koloamatangi or Cameron Murray ? FMD.
Certainly is. Were we ever looking at Pangai Jr.. seems he is in big demand too. I'd have liked us to go after David Fifita. I saw him tear up the Kiwis in two Junior Kangaroo matches and he won me. Another I was impressed by in those same matches was sandy haired Tannah Boyd. Not exactly smashed down the door since but certainly not knocking him back as a future Dragon either.Molo / Su'A is a decent start to our recruitment for next year

question: Who is the easiest mod to contact.
Because players of that ilk are locked up on long term deals. We would need to pay big overs to get those types of players & this is a habit.Great, another average, lightweight 2nd rower, just what we need.

We had one but let him fly the coop. Now let's add a flashy hooker.
I used to have a problem with us bringing Polynesian Pacific Islanders to our club. As they had a reputation for being too laid back, weak defenders and poor trainers. Seems that is not the case these days. Most show plenty of passion and skill in attack and defense.Molo / Su'A
What were his stat's last year?
From memory he had a great season and South's supporters were genuinely upset when he was told he was not required next year.
Sometimes stat's can be misleading as Kalomatangi is definitely there go to forward and gets alot more ball.
Kerr is one of the best in our team every week for quick play the balls. And by far our best for off-loads, two of which got us 2 tries last Friday and he was the only forward not getting trampled by the big Manly boys, did you notice that ? You noticed his 2 errors I'm sure but everyone in our team makes errors, it's Dragonball / Maryball and Hook is yet to coach it out of us. Anyway, Su'a will probably fit right in.Because players of that ilk are locked up on long term deals. We would need to pay big overs to get those types of players & this is a habit.
You can also look at Su'a's stats against the Dogs all day long, but that doesn't show how his quick play the balls led to 2 line breaks, either.
Each to there ownI'll take stats over perception any day. For a 2nd rower I'd prefer consistent stats every game, big metres, big workrate, great defence, run great lines and an off-load. Su'a will put in 3 or 4 big performances a year ( like Sims ) and everyone will go Wow what a player, the rest of the year he'll be bog average, inconsistent, with a low workrate. That's why Souths let him go. He's in his 7th year of 1st grade and his stats have barely changed from his first year, no noticeable improvement. Maybe on the field he shows a bit more confidence but that's it, still a very average player. What are his good points ? What makes him the player we just had to buy ? Does he run great lines, no. Is he a game breaker, no. Best position - probably off the bench. Plus he's another bloody Qldr.
Spot onSouths go to side is their deadly left edge.
Su’A plays on the right side, stats don’t always explain things.
Prefer big George made greater impact off the bench against tired players. Lawrie deserves the starting prop spot. He has done his apprenticeship. We called Craig Young ''fat Albert" so presumed he was a big size. Not so, Albert was rather lite for a prop actually.. at just a touch over 100ks. Lawrie looks smaller but is 3ks heavier than the former Test prop. Kinda surprising that.Burgess
