Just on the dragons web site.
Pickworth said duges has strained his hammy but will not know full extent untill after duges has scan on monday morning
The prognosis for a strain is much better than. Might only be a couple of weeks.

I realise that it has already been mentioned , but what the hell , wasn't absolutely wonderful to see our backs finally come to life ! At long last they have shown the Dragon supporters , that they are indeed capable , of scoring points from their own creativity .

Bluudy Marvellous !

Its OK OT you can discuss the game with me its obvious theres a couple on here that as you say know sfa about footy.....I thought there was times today when Mann absolutely put his body on the line
Yep BSE some are hard to please alright.
i am certainly a harsh judge on things but am able to remain fair minded for the most part.
Mann was a real man to day and some of his 1 on 1 was simply outstanding.
Anyway good luck to Lafai he has pulled the finger out and going much better and hats off to JDB, he continues to grow each week.
Nighty had it put on a plate for him and he also had it on a string so happy for him.
Lam is no doubt sticking it fair up a few peoples areas as is young Host.
All in all lots of reasons to feel good and last but not least kudos for those that have changed it up re the type of football we are playing.
Not perfect but certainly a 100% better than where we were.

Nightingale treble no surprise for McGregor

Jason Nightingale crossing for one of his three tries on Sunday.

JASON Nightingale’s first-half hat-trick against the Tigers on Sunday was a timely reminder of the Kiwi veteran’s classy finishing abilities, but it came as absolutely no surprise to coach Paul McGregor.

Nightingale topped the Dragons try tally in 2016 with 16 four-pointers but has had a lean time over the past two seasons, getting across just six and three times, as the club collectively struggled to find the stripe.

Off-contract this year, Nightingale showed he is still among the most reliable finishers in the game with the treble.

It saw the Dragons take a 14-0 lead into the break and McGregor said post-match that his veteran flanker was building towards such a performance.

“He’s a quality player and he’s still an International,’ McGregor said.

“It’s funny, I was only talking to Gypsy through the week and saying I think his game is building/.

“It certainly wasn’t unexpected what happened today.”

St George Illawarra Dragons Head of Athletic Performance Nathan Pickworth has provided the following in regards to fullback Josh Dugan's hamstring injury.

"Unfortunately Josh suffered a hamstring strain," Pickworth said.

"However we won't know the full extent until we get him scanned on Monday morning."

Dugan suffered the injury midway through the second half of the Dragons' 28-6 win over the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium, Olympic Park on Sunday afternoon.

I must eat humble pie in regard to Mc Gregor, Lafai, McCrone, Nightingale and Widdop who have all picked their socks up. I will bite my tongue for the rest of the year as the whole squad is putting in and I think that is all we ask of them. I am worried about the Illawarra team as they are pretty hopeless which affects our depth. Hopefully Field and Hutchison will be back sooner rather than later as they seem to lack playmakers and speed. The Under 20's seem to be firing which is promising.
