Agree BennyV.
Nighty fell over the line for most tries this year, often barely a hand on him and all from inside 10m. He was shown up many times with simple speed and unlike Nene’s defensive issues speed can’t be fixed in the off season.
Interestingly one of the games he played at FB was when Nene and KFL combined to score one of our best tries of the year, the kind we haven’t seen for years. Nighty wouldn’t have scored that try.
Watching him bag 3 tries twice this year was great and I was happy for him.
We have several better options just wish supercoach had the balls to use them.

Scoring 15 or 16 tries by simply tripping over the try line seems very very lucky.

If it was that easy, why didn't Nene and another 10 or so wingers think of using the falling over strategy?

Hmmmm?

Have a look at his tries for 2017 mate. Enjoy like we all did.
If you do have another look, how many were Nighty only tries, one only imo.
While you’re at it take note of tries against that he couldn’t stop to be polite.
Then come back and tell us how he’s going to improve in the off season.
Honestly, there’s quicker, younger and more promising than Nighty in the squad and he IS a bugger problem for us than any advantage his experience offers.

Yes there are.....however....our centres are the far bigger issue....They are meant to create opportunities, make line breaks, and try assists.

But they don't.

Fix that first.....then happy to move onto nighty.

However....Nene also b4 nighty.

First our centres.....then Nene....and then nighty......as he is the least of our issues.

Absolutely correct!
The stats do not support the argument that Nightingale is a liability.
Nor has he been responsible for conceding a mountain of tries.
His missed tackles are pretty low compared to the whole team.
If you're talking about Ado Carr or Radradra running around you then Nightingale is in elite company.
As for tries scored - how can anyone can belittle 16 tries by saying he fell over the line is beyond me.
Someone has to be on the end of those backline moves and it happened to be Nightingale.
16 times...
McDonald - 6 tries all year.
No mention of the bombs that Nightingale consistently diffuses or the metres out of dummy half that he gains (same ARM as McDonald who is supposed to be a metre eater "big body")
So this obsession with dumping Nightingale is wearing pretty thin.
Lafai's centre partner and McDonald are far more of a problem than Nightingale.

Flo should be first player picked in 2018. He is not as fast as other wingers but his experience puts him up there with other wingers in the competition

I think first player picked is very generous for nighty but I agree with you 2010 that he is still a very solid player. He still gets selected for the NZ squad so if he is good enough for them then surely he is good enough for dragons with bloody Macdonald on the other wing and nobody knocking on the door.
I'd replace MacDonald before Nighty.
Lets hope he scores another 15-20 tries this year then retires a champion!
