hayne won't be dropped - there is no mention of it other than the writer clutching onto some story from 2 weeks ago ..... also it was lowrie who reddy threw the stupid pass to just before half time that led to a try, not tuatai ... and i love how the title is 'Hagan to axe stars' and then they discuss players like reddy and lowrie - lol ... but hey lets not let the truth get in the way of some good telecrap bullsh*t

i don't think reddy should be dropped - but i'd drop tautai and put reddy on the wing - reddy has some defensive issues at centre - I really believe his best games for us were on the wing (dragons and the week after that)

but yeah - fmd - hagan better be thinking about dropping some forwards too .... i know we don't have many other real options, but something else has to be tried up front - seriously

btw - the photo from the article ...

Hayne had a very good game against Manly, He was really involved. He has great leg drive.

Reddy was sh*t as usual. Wagon and Robinson should not be in the same team, They are the same type of player.

CAYLESS is a cat, Makes no meters. He runs backwards.

Hopefully Grothe Will get a call up and Tautai to 3/4.

hagan said:
"It's an attitude to stopping the opposition on our line.''

so is the penny droppig about attitude?

Didnt Hagan have a shot at Phil Gould the other week after he suggested attitude was an issue?

How can one have a bad attitude towards goal line defence? You'd hope that any guy who puts our jersey on does their best. I still can't see how attitude comes into it. If it does, there needs to be widespread changes.

We used to have an admirable goal line D. Cayless used to scream out to his troops PRIDE IN OUR LINE. Distant memory that.

The axing Order should be

Daniel Wagon
Weller Hauraki
Josh Cordoba
Joel Reddy
Taulima Tautai

Joel and TT make the worst defensive centre / winger combo I have ever seen.

we got a soft forward pack, so he keeps dropping backs

Not a Jarryd Hayne fan, but he doesn't deserve to get dropped. And yes, Reddy has been one of the more solid performers this year. TT and also TW are the only backs who should go this week.

He needs to look at our powder puffs in the forwrad pack!

agree 100%... although I'd whack Hagan after Wagon & swap Tautai & Cordoba.
I'm hoping Eric hits some form or Etu recovers from his injury so we can finally get some specialist wingers into our backline. Big Tony clearly has his mind set on next year so lets f*ck him off & wish Hasler luck in promoting some consistency in his game. Tautai needs some time in the 20's team to learn to catch a football then hang onto it.

You would think if Hayne was to be dropped, it would have been before this week?

As for Reddy and Tautai, IMO, Reddy has shown he is a good finisher, and he is good under the high ball, and Tautai's best efforts have been when he has been playing centre. I'd swap them before dropping either of them. The only thing that concerns me with Tautai is his concentration, he has atleast one basic error in him each game.

Hopefully we don't replace the farkeruperers with more farkeruperers.

You want to know how clueless Hagan is.

Next you'll find Inu put on notice
... then Finch
... then Mateo
... then Hindmarsh

Everyone except those players who should be put on notice.

That is how clueless this clown is

if true this is a joke. it is way too late in the season for a mass axeing of players. this should have been done after week 8 not now.

that said there are a few players that i think should have been "reviewed" a while back, among them, wagon (though he was one of our better players against manly) and oak (who has shown me very little to sugest he will be anything other than steve crouch II).

like others have said, going through our backs is just stupid when you consider the overall lack of ground our forwards are making. maybe a truckload of work on defensive structure, patterns and line speed should be on hagan's to-do list.

i am really starting to believe hagan learned to coach using the ps2 nrl game.

note to eels coaching staff: the side needs to learn to fracken tackle. that will solve one big mofo of a problem.

i read on nrl.com a few weeks ago
that this year we concede 3 times as many offloads as 2007, we miss twice as many tackles, and we have gone from being 1st on effective tackles percentage to near the bottom

clearly the forwards fault, yet the backs face the axe
