I would imagine we would only offer a one year deal anyway. With the form he has at the moment he should chase a longer term at good money.

It just a shame to loose him but he may not have the same opportunities if he hangs around another year and doesn't get the same game time.

I know I don't want him gone.... What if kk gets injured who we got to come in?? We need robbo to help with the development of young players and he would be a handy bench player

R.S.R - resign robson

That'd be "re-sign" - why would you want him to quit? :p

We do have a bit of depth in the halves even without Robson and Kelly, as Mateo has proven that he can adequately fill in.

What's the status of Luke Burt? As much as I have enjoyed Robson's contributions and respect the hell out of him, I'd rather us not lose Burt than either of Robson or Lowrie. Burt's shown glimpses this year that suggest he'd go alright as a half in a pinch.

Whatever happens to Robson, I hopes he continues to find success. He's earned it in my opinion.

Just an idea, most people dont like the idea of Burt defending in the line so assuming Reddy and Inu line up on the left hand side could Burt defend as a winger (and drop down on the last) and have Reddy and Inu defend one in. This is very similar to what Marshall does in defence but Burt is an experianced winger and should have no problems defending there.

This could be used if Burt came off the bench as a utility and could slot in at hooker or an extra half in attack and defend as a winger. That would also provide us with better cover incase an outside back was to get injured during the match.

It will be funny when the ball is turned over. People will be like where's the hooker.

Oh out on the wing.

it actually makes a bit of sense, who says your hooker needs to defend in the middle. The less defence work would keep them sharper and you could probably play your hooker for 80mins keeping consistency in delivering the ball.
It's not as if others can't take a play while he gets into position.

you mean like when the ball is kicked to the fullback or winger and the hooker is not back and and one of the outside backs normally passes it, atleast your hooker would be there for those kick returns.

I dont see a problem with it because Burt has a very good passing and kicking game and is quick out of dumby half. Its not like he is a traditional winger.

good fo rhim if he lands a contract over there, he deserves it after persisting with reserves for ages, we can't knock him for that!

Let him go, good luck to the guy. He's going solid at the moment, but he'll never earn here what he can over there because solid is the best he can do, and will be relying on injuries to even get a run next year....let him earn the bigger bucks while he can and sign up another NSW Cup level 7

Maybe Wigan will sign him up? He'd probably go better than that last Aussie they had playing in the halves ;-).
