I read an article on Billy Peden in the Newcastle Herald the other day which said that Peden is still deciding if he will take up a coaching position at the Newcastle Knights or if he will join the London Broncos at their pre season camp in Dubai.
The London Broncos have had their pre season camp at Gosford on the NSW central coast for the last two years.
It is curious and annoying especially for those in the UK, but when I was growing up in Northern NSW everyone simply called it football. Both 'league' and 'rugby' are terms that aren't as comfortable to me. I do think that rugby league needs to seriously look at adopting a new generic term, one that people can get behind, but even if it did, it would take a lot of time as my own experience shows.
League Football for president. Then we can call it football or League. If some countries need to have Rugby in it for the time being then call it offically there Rugby League Football.
Its an IRB event, there for only countries can play. The London Broncs are playing in the sort of 'warm up' curtain raiser. By the way, South Africa won this the other day beating New Zealand in the final.
