I agree with most of what you said but I can't blame Mary this clown is a supposed adult and supposed professional clearly he is neither hopefully the club punts him straight away and we move on,I only hope he stuffs cronullas cap for the duration of his contract lol waste of skin he is
If the story is accurate, the leadership group made the call on Dugan which reflects poorly on McGregor.
Especially considering Dugan had done the same thing twice before.
Point is that many put a disproportionate weight (for our predicament) of blame on the players for not being "committed" or "passionate".
Yesterday put that into perspective.
Dugan has been put on a pedestal by McGregor to the detriment of players like Mann and Dufty.
Another example is Sims who stepped up and literally trampled the Penrith forward pack to lay the platform for a gutsy (if not pretty) win.
He has been one of our best all year even though he has been under utilized off the bench.
Far too much attention has been paid to Dugan which has not been warranted and I for one, am happy to see the back of him.

So who knows the truth as to
1. How many times Dugan has missed the bus and any reasons offered for doing so?
2. How many times he was on the piss before the game?
3. How many times has any other player missed the bus?
Lot's of numbers being thrown around but not once has it been reported in the press so wondering how that can be as they love giving it to us.

What the go with the "full" story?? Do people doubt he missed the bus? In our most important game of the year no less?

There is no story, he missed the bus period. That in itself is unacceptable in any working environment, let alone a professional sporting team where elite players as he regards himself can earn up to a million dollars a year.

We had a 4pm game FFS, it's not like he had to wake up early. What the f##k was he doing to miss the bus??

100% agree Dennis Papa Mcgregor is a jellyfish no backbone!! Never makes the difficult decisions like dropping Mccrone & Lafai when there form is shithouse . Bellamy is the best coach in the game & Kurt Mann was in his starting side . Last year & mid season this year Mann could of easily slipped into Lafai's center position when his form was poor . Bellamy had no hesitation in playing Mann at left center during his tenure at the storm, but Dr Evil (Mcgregor) knows best hah.

Hard to believe Dugan was once being considered for captain. Couple together his insulting conduct towards his teammates by missing the bus on Sunday and his drinking episode on the SOO camp it appears he has slipped back to his selfish, immature and self first behaviour. His lack of consideration for others will eventually come to the fore at Cronulla and it won't be tolerated by senior players and their experienced coaching staff.

I heard the post match press conference. Widdop said the leadership group had spoken to the rest of the team some time ago about being professional, and that being late for things like the team bus was not acceptable. McGregor said it was his call to drop Dugan and, Widdop stated that he and the leadership group supported the coach's decision.

Does he missed the plane back from Brisbane last week help complete some of the story?

Hi OT - just saw this article
https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/st...t/news-story/d5cb5aec0228b6a400abf1264c98c43b
Nothing to do with St. George and looks bad.
The sliver lining is the fact Dugan won't be with us next year.
Question for me is, did McGregor know about it?

Were you aware of the issue re the plane?
To all concerned with my position on this subject thus far.
  1. Prior to my post I had not seen any press releases re Dugan doing anything untoward in his behaviour at St GI.
  2. On the basis that the playing group and the coaching staff saw fit to keep picking him and there was no evidence that the club had disciplined him for anything, one would rightfully be entitled to think all is good with Dugan albeit he is known to be a dope re social media.
  3. If he is a cock head and it is proven that he has multiple issues that have been swept under the carpet and masked over then I lose all respect for him and even more so the club as people should be able to formulate opinions on the evidence at hand and if they have withheld that evidence then the club is complicit.
  4. In respect of a request for me to apologise for my original position or my response to others there is no chance as my position was formulated on the facts on hand at the time and I would similarly come to the same conclusion again based on those facts.
  5. However if there are real untoward matters and they now come to light then I would dump him and all the people who covered anything up and the club should compensate the merchandise people who give refunds to any people who feel aggrieved at buying Dugan merchandise under false pretences.
  6. Last but not least how the hell is it that several issues are now potentially going to come to surface when nothing was in the news before?
I hope that this is not as bad as it appears but if it is I will be shattered for trusting my club to do the right thing and be honest with the fans.

All supporters are entitled to know the truth about all this.
I feel leery about this situation and I want to know if McGregor and others have been covering up.
Even if Dugan wore a halo during his time at St.George, these revelations about SOO bring into question the culture of of our club and the standards set by the people in charge.

I don't think you need to apologise and nor have I asked you to do so. Unless you personally attack someone you don't need to apologise for having an opinion.

I don't think there is any 'untoward' situation where Dugan has done something illegal or morally questionable (in terms of as a member of the public)..

But would I question his attitude based on these revelations and even more so about origin and given his recent form I have no sympathy or empathy for him. As a teammate I'd be filthy on him.

Maybe he has had no issue for the past 5 years with us, and maybe why they were willing to let one discretion go.

Your conclusion before was based on those facts.. does it change when new facts come to light? As in your conclusion as of this moment

I'll take it with a grain of salt since it's the telegraph.

But if true that is damning. It makes it look deliberate to not travel with the team.

Any idea what your Breezer Boy was up to on Saturday night?

The missing the plane in brisbane is correct.
