Dugan cant sustain that intensity though, he put in an origin performance last night (the whole side did), id much prefer Coote or similar, just as good defensively but provides so much more flexibility in attack.

In any case, will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go, it seems like either the players or JD have been allowed to tinker with our attack and its more more enjoyable to watch, just cant expect miracles when they have only had a few weeks to develop.

That's the most annoying bit...3 games to go and we discover this style of play and right mix if players :rage::rage::rage:

Tommy turbo is one of the hottest talents in the comp. The only way he comes here is if a broom gets swept through the place, and/or the money is just too much to turn down. No one has covered themselves in glory by joining the Dragons, its a career killer coming here at the moment. Ask Widdop, Benji and Lafai.

Remember Dugan was the one of the hottest fullbacks around when we signed him. Since he's joined us, he's gotten bigger, slower and somehow has forgot how to pass like he did at the Raiders.

Hardly a ringing endorsement to take your game to the next level by coming here.

How about this for a ringing endorsement ?
Gets selected to play SOO and for Australia whilst playing for St George.
I'd say most footballers would aspire to that.

To be fair, we haven't had our first choice team available in the last few weeks. Dugan, Friz and Thommo have been out for various reasons and LAM is still suspended.

The key difference was Benji and Widdop were both good (reminiscent of last year) and we didn't have too many clangers from hooker (other than Marketo's brain snap),

When our havles put in a decent performance, we can at least mix it with the top sides. Problem is our halves do that 1 in every 5 games which reflects where we are in the table.

In fairness Benji and Lafai were both shit before they came to us but yes we did destroy Widdop.

Dugan is a conundrum and I still believe he is our best FB option at this time and with better halves he would find a lot more to offer.
And also a better game plan to use him correctly. In other words a better coach

Not sure how you come up with the above conclusions.

Dugan is a beast and gives 100% every game so what is it he can't sustain?

In respect of defence Coote wouldn't be good enough to tie up Dugan's boot laces nor would a heap other FB's.

No FB in this comp is more committed at goaline defence than Dugan.

If not for Dugan this year and keeping in mind he has missed a lot of games our F & A would be a lot worse than it is.

Dugan defence best in nrl with a good coaching could also be much much better in attack

Agreed but what Rev is trying to say is his value as a FB stems from his physical style. He's all about collisions which is great but is hard to sustain for a whole season.

Probably explains why he's injured so often.

He's clearly not a finesse player like a Coote, Boyd or Moylan which is fine, but it will invariably take a toll on your body.

Dugan is the best bloody full back in the comp and is worth every dollar.. with a proper coach and halfs that can utilize him the right way and be more injected in the plays he will dominate by far he is a special player at only 25 he has years ahead of him

If our lazy arsed forwards got back on side quicker to take the hit ups both Dugan and Flo would have a lot less collisions in a game.
I see Mann is also starting to do this work which is OK now and then but backs tacking 3 hit ups after a kick chase by the opposition shows our forwards are either lazy or not fit.

Unless you have a severe mental disorder it should be easy.

If we got a good organising half, a smart hooker and a coach with a clue, I agree Dugan is the best option at FB.

We need a game plan that doesn't rely on the FB being a distributor, so we need to change those 3 things before this can happen.
