Looking back over the year
The Sharks have played well with both Noddy and Dykes at the helm by themselves at different times. Seems one or the other is good for the team but together they don't really "gel" - (there's an old fave that was for a time banned :lol
A lot of the talk last year centred around not having a 5/8 to take pressure off Noddy. So we bought the 5/8 Raper wanted.
The irony is that we got the man the coach wanted but it hindered rather than helped Noddy it seems.
So did he actually need an established 6 or did we just get the wrong type to compliment Noddy?
Either way someone has made a gross error of judgement it would seem.
One really has to wonder what this so called new direction will be.
I see a lot of the old "give me a halfback and 2 good props" style in Raper. 2006 looks like being another year of boring, attrition style footy. 1 playmaker and an overabundance of forwards with next to no depth in the backs.[/QUOTE]
EXACTLY!!!
