Would be interesting to see if all those drinks were purchased and consumed at the one venue or were over a few different venues over an earlier period during the day, either way staff at the hotel should have not be serving him and i would hope that the venue is being investigated for breaches of their responsible service of alcohol laws.
It's the old chesnut You did somthing wrong- o course I had a zillion beers- I'ts the exact opposite on Drink driving - you say I had only a few. All the whiles looking to the ground, in your time before the magistrate- while your hired beak reads your fluff statement.

Young testosterone filled fella, full of booze and getting inappropriately touchy feely - it’s absolutely wrong, cannot be excused, and women shouldn’t have to put up with this.
That being said, he’s been hit with a sledgehammer here for something that happens very often, and has been happening forever and a day. I’d say if he wasn’t a famous footballer, this probably doesn’t make it passed club security, let alone into the courts.
Not proud to say that as a young fella out on the pull, I was probably guilty of similar things. Back in the day, a slap from an offended woman was the punishment of choice, and I soon leaned the errors of my ways.
I certainly don’t think he should be punished any further by the NRL, given he’s already been stood down for a number of weeks.

Sacked and deregistered is the only possible punishment. Anything else is far too light.

Wow all you guys are jumping the gun a bit , NRL haven’t handed down any penalty yet, he got charged with sexual touching not sexual assault, he is not a rapist. Spoke to my wife about it and she thought 6 weeks would be a fair penalty, said when she was younger at the night clubs if a guy put his hands on her she would slap him in the face.

EXACTLY… he’s been a dick, but people really do need to get some perspective. This sort of thing has (wrongly) gone on forever and a day. Yes, that doesn’t make it right, and women shouldn’t have to cop it from lusty pissed up perverts, but talk of a jail term or him being de-registered is going way over and above what’s necessary.
I love how many people come across as such moral pillars of society - young blokes make mistakes, they don’t all need hammering with draconian punishments. A slap around the chops is a much more appropriate life lesson.
And as for Brown, he’s a good kid by all accounts, and his statement reads like he’s got genuine remorse. If every bloke who got pissed up and became a bit too touchy feely lost their job as a result, there’d be a hell of benefits queue.

It's pretty common for people to get fired for this sort of behaviour in 2023.

Well maybe they should, then maybe women can enjoy a night out without being groped by pissed up dckheads?
And he’s a professional sportsman earning millions of $’s, that puts his behavioural expectations above your avg Joe. Like it or not.

Lol. Back just in time for finals. How convenient.

But But But we do Women in League and have white ribbons and stuff!
So the NRLs punishment, the sentence handed down by the court, letting everyone you care about down badly and having your name dragged through the mud, unlike any other bloke your age who did the same, isn’t enough?

get a grip, chief.

If women didn’t get groped by pissed up dickheads, you wouldn’t exist.

It’s pretty light actually and I’m an Eels fan. (I thought I’d let you know because you seem like a person who can’t read). Wow poor Dylan Brown, if he is going through all that… I wonder how the actual victim feels? Remember her, Mr.Bogan who thinks it’s 1930.
