If Marshall takes iver the playmaking he'll go alright.

Jono, as if the Knights' attacking game isn't expansive.

I didnt say it wasnt, Tigers just seem to back up offloads better, just better support play in general IMO which would suit Gidley, probably worded my last post wrong.

They'd wanna hope that Benji gets over his injury problems if they sign Gidley.

Pleeeeeease take him. Is not a playmaker, is not a general play kicker, is one dimensional, can't think past his last play, great chaser of kicks (then again so is my dog) He is however a very good defender.

The Tigers would have no general play kicker.

Benji rarely kicks and Kidley isn't upto it.

Farrah can't alway kick from dummy half.

"We're looking for a halfback with a kicking game, a football brain"

Keep looking then...

for once we agree
if sheens is looking for a good footy brain and kicking game, Kiddley should be 2nd last behind only Brad Drew as an option for the tigers

While you guys are looking I think Rhys Hanbury, although young, could be a good option. I know I will get slammed for this but I was impressed with him from what I saw.

with Tigers recruitment chief Warren McDonnell confirming he contacted Gidley's manager Darryl Mather a fortnight ago.
Just out of curiosity, where's the line in the sand with regards to anti-tampering? I know it's all been side-stepped before by both parties using the media as an intermediary, but if the Tigers have directly contacted Gidley's manager then surely that constitutes a breach.
Or, has Kidley been granted permission to talk to other clubs?

It would make sense that you are allowed to tell a party you're interested and leave it at that. McDonnell probably just said if your man is off contract, we're very interested (unfortunately).

Tigers or any other club are allowed to tell the players manager "we would like to talk to kurt when he comes of contract" in legal terms an expression of interest.
I hope the tigers sign him an we could chuck in matt kennedy an goerge carmont for no extra price.

we'll give you Kurt gidley, and for a limited time only we'll throw in 1 George Carmont, 1 Kirk Reynoldson, 1 matt Kennedy and a set of steak knives.

(You'll find out what the steak knives are for when Benji gets injured and Kidley has to run the show)
