Early tip: Sandow won't see out his contract

They moved Inglis to fullback, Burgess to the middle, and got rid of Dave Taylor, who, along with Feleti Mateo, is the worst defensive edge forward in the NRL.

Three big changes that benefitted the team.

Plus Sandow left and they promoted Reynolds, who is a great organiser with a terrific short kicking game. Don't leave out facts that don't support your argument.

How do you know Reynolds is a good organiser? Have you been on the field with him?

Watching him he has a good kicking game (not as good as Sandow's) and supports well (and gets plenty of opportunity in that team) but struggles to set up his supports.

He's not even close to Sandow's standard during his last two years at Souths. He's a passenger who only ever receives the ball when the defence is on the back foot.

Perhaps Reynolds was the exact player Souths needed to take them to the next step. Perhaps he is a better fit at Souths than Sandow was

And the biggest one of all, McGuire as coach.

I most probably know he's a good organiser the same way that you interpret that he has trouble setting up his supports, his actions on the field. Never mind the comments of his coach and team mates, but what would they know.

Reynold has played half back for two seasons, allegedly one of the most important positions on the field even though I'm sure you'll tell me otherwise, for a team thats made it to a major semi and is on its way to a minor premiership. Notice how well his team went when he went off with an injury in the major semi final?

He also won the rookie of the year award that you point to as one of Sandow major achievements.

Sandow has played in zero finals games and has now been dropped from first grade twice.

How could we know that? He's only been there two years.

Sure he had the sense to move Inglis and Burgess, and get rid of Taylor, but the previous guy was a premiership winning coach and had built an awesome 'academy' at the Bunnies.

Maguire took over a very strong club that was ready for success. How could we know how good he is?

How many games does Poo actually see in person, rather then watching on television, to know as much as he does?

Pou once coached junior football and met Brian Smith. He's our only coaching expert on here besides Jason Taylor of course.

I can see him not putting his teammates through gaps. How can you see him organising? Every player talks and points, especially halfbacks.

Souths look to me like they play a pretty simple gameplan, just like every other modern team. Unlike 20-30 years ago, the game is more about execution than tactics these days.

Never mind the comments of his coach and team mates, but what would they know.

Wayne Bennett also said Sandow had all the skills when he was picked for the emerging Maroons.

You mean like Tim Smith?

Notice how well his team went when he went off with an injury in the major semi final?

They weren't exactly killing it before he went off.

He also won the rookie of the year award that you point to as one of Sandow major achievements.

Sandow won it as a teenager, whereas Reynolds was 22 years old.

Sandow has played in zero finals games and has now been dropped from first grade twice.

He was never dropped by Souths though, and Reynolds has never had to carry Parramatta.

If Sandow has flaws in his game it's because he has been forced to play for weak teams his entire career. Some time in Wenty will be good for him, just as it would have last year.

Colonel,

Don't you think that Hodkinson would be a better fit for Norman than Sandow?

Maybe. It is unlikely he will leave the Bulldogs to come back to us.

All good saying this player and that player may be better fits. We has Sandow on the books and no Hodkinson.

We need to make him fit at the moment because he is the best we have.

Sandow will be right.

No halfback would look good in our team the way they are currently playing.

Sandow is the least of our problems.

Do you really think his time at Wenty did him any good though? He certainly didnt make any changes or improvements last year.

The big question here is how to you make him fit into the set up here to get the best out of him?

This is one of the few things I will agree with Pou on. Put Reynolds in our current lineup and he will not be a better player with us. Sandow has had some very ordinary forward packs and has had to work with Keating as his ball distributor.

A good hooker will benefit Sandow as much as the forward pack.
