Arthur has had a great year considering the squad that he had and the injuries sustained to our 2 starting fullbacks. He still however needs to toughen these merkins up. Think we have been piss weak in many games this season despite overachieving.

Not sure what you mean by piss weak? Mentally? ....

Physically i think we go hard ... still a little undersized

unfortunately we still dont really have a gun leader who can take control of a game and settle the team down

When you consistently lose games that you are expected to win it must be mental, mustn't it?

Lotsa beers since full time so I'm no doubt rambling... It seemed like we had a game plan that suited them. Played down the middle more than hitting the edges. no expansive sweep plays.

Fair play to the Cows, they were hungrier, more desperate, chased harder, ran harder. Taumololo is just so far ahead of every other forward in the game it's ridiculous. I'm not sure he's human...

I'm sure it has been mentioned elsewhere but I question the wisdom of bringing Kritchard and to a lesser extent Terepo, in to such an important game after a long lay off. Wasn't why we lost but... you know, wasn't the way I would've gone....

I totally agree ... at the game i was baffled at why we were trying to barge through the middle constantly

The expectations on us were way overblown this week. Like I said before the game, this was a fifty-fifty game for us. The Cowboys were awesome value at $3, and proved it.

Our team isn't weak, just lacking size and experience.

Hey pou interested in your opinion of Manu.

We know BA has signed Evans for his size/body size and he is also looking for another middle forward of a similar size.

Gentle even suggested in his interview we are looking at adding different body shapes to our squad.

Manu has been great for us However watching manu, I get the feeling he may have peaked, especially attack wise.

He has made a few uncharacteristic errors lately and seems to be contained pretty easily now. Still runs hard but maybe more like an middle forward.

Is it time we look for a "bigger" edge player? No so much as Manu is "no good" but to improve our squad and chance of winning the comp.

BTW, my opinion is next year is taka takas his spot with Gutho centre/French fullback.

Ma'u is one of our best players, but I agree he is at his peak. At 29 I wouldn't expect him to get any better and in a couple of years he will start to decline.

I wouldn't put him in the middle though. You see how ineffective he is against numbers. He is best with a bit of space where he can isolate defenders with his footwork and speed.

if the bald bastard couldn't get them up for a game v Newcastle when we were playing for a top four spot then he needs help

he also should have got us to finals a few years ago but we lost our last two games against lower ranked sides

he's the problem

I think Mau is a good player but I'd offload him to get someone like Josh Jackson.

Moses kept trying to hit Manu with the short face ball, hoping he'd crash through; Manu has the speed and agility, but not the size and power for this.

If we are going to try to use this play, I think he need to find a more modern, prototypical second-rower.

Plus his brain fades have been really irritating.

We have one of those but he was out injured and he is our best backwower.
