I'd still like to know why the board pick the coach. Shouldn't they just ratify a decision made by someone employed to make such decisions?

The next time elections come around for the Leagues Club, forget business acumen etc., I'm voting for the merkin that says "I may be a bankrupt paedophile with ingrown toenails but I'm great at picking coaches".

Horses for courses.

unless we have signed one of the four coaches or one of thier assistants playing this weekend then we are screwed again. If it is that pommie then i'm done with the eels.

This is what Bradford fans think of McNamara coaching Parra.

How and why McBanana has been so highly rated for so long must be nothing to do with his actual win/lose ratio. It can’t be to do with the style of rugby played by his teams either. It can’t be his great oratory and I very much doubt it’s his ability to ensure players are paid commensurate to their ability. There must be some other quality that I’m missing. He was I think (Red will correct me if I’m wrong) sign some of the young lads that have done quite well (Burgesses) but that’s tempered by him signing dross like Sheriffe and Worrincy.

To be fair, Parramatta can't get much worse.

And I really doubt McBanana will make Parramatta any worse. The Eels have finished in the bottom three for the last three years. The only way is up for them.

Can't say anything of the sort for McNamara as a coach because there are no notable achievements to speak of

If we do sign this Pommy twat there should be a massive march into the leagues club.

Considering who have put their hat into the ring for the job.

Sharpe ruled Taylor out as being not suitable at the present time. Henry has supposedly been offered the position but since he will collect cowboys money in 2014 for doing nothing he may well just 2014 out to see what other jobs become available in 2015 such as Brisbane/Dragons/Gold Coast/Tigers for instance- Terry Matterson is seemingly the favourite for the Cowboys gig.

Brian Smith has been linked to a coaching directors role so dont be suprised if Tony Smith get's the job. Tim Sheens has also been mentioned but if Brian Smith does get the coaching directors job a season coach wont be willing to take the job on and be under someone else so a younger coach seems a likely choice if Smith does become the CD.

I know Parra are looking a bit desperate of late, but surely not...

I will happily contribute towards his plane ticket.

Can they take him now?

So Henry knocked us back to take an assistant coaching role at the Titans despite Cartwright having 3 years to run as head coach.

B Smith appears to be a no-go.

Looks like no positive news on the horizon
