Also Yeo.

It's weird watching Yeo now being talked about as all time great since mid last season.

He was excellent all year long ofcourse but his magnum opus was rounds 1 to 3 of 2022 while Nathan was out following his shoulder surgery.

Played halfback without being responsible for the kicking game.

He's a god and the best ever Panther. I've been saying it for years now

Eusinhuth deserves his spot, he’d get the same amount of minutes as Patea and offers more at this point. Seriously Patea needs to start ripping in in NSW Cup, was underwhelming yesterday.

If To'o is back we also are putting Garner into the forwards. Sorro, Papalli and Henry would be the forwards in that case and all offer more flexability than Eisenhuth does that is my point

Coming through the lower grades, Patea was an explosive runner who frequently broke the line and went on long runs. I guess he's found the jump to playing against men a big one, because he's showing very little at the moment. Especially looks soft in defence.

How old is he? Seems like he has only played a handful of first grade games?

Let’s call a spade a spade. He directed the team around the field but he wasn’t a good halfback. Even discounting for no kicking game he offered nothing more than Schneider etc have in the past.

Admitttedly he did that while defending in the middle and also made a number of hit ups.

He is a great player but he is ultra dependable rather than a game breaker. He links well between the forwards and the halves and he plays straight. Tackles amazingly but without venom. He makes good metres but that is generally on the 4th or 5th tackle when space is created around the ruck;he doesn’t bend the line.

Best lock in the game and integral to us winning. But there is no X factor

Does that make him a plodder?

Well no. Yeo is probably the best player in the world. While yes he doesn't have the explosive speed or even the x factor he does things other locks can't or won't.

That is the big difference here. His passing game is not like other locks hell most other players

Take our 1st couple of tries. He scored running it on the last because he spotted lazy defenders.

Because of this our 2nd try the outside defenders rush him. Meaning when Cleary gets it room is outside for a kick into open space.

For Alamoti's we go behind him because we have the defence expecting Yeo to get it.

Throw in the tackle busts he makes and you have a player that is a threat with the ball

That is what his attack does as opposed to the boring no frills defender he is.
