how did Parra go when he was assistant here last? and do not give me this shit that 'yeah but he wasn't the coach he was the assistant' lol if that was the case i am surprised no one has brought up Dean Pay then and going after him, after all, he was only the assistant?

When Arthurs was here we were god awful - and this guy was heavily involved in there day to day coaching, everyone looked horrible.

As for the CEO lol, i didn't see too many clubs falling overthemselves to hire this guy, not even his former club Canterbury.

How does that work? Kearney was at Melbourne when they were quite successful....does that make him shit hot?

you have to laugh, just when things couldn't get worse, we snag the coach no one else wanted lol

Like JT was looked over for Trent Robinson despite already being at the club??

I like the appointment and was disappointed he wasn't given the job when Kearney left.

Sharks were going terrible when was assistant
Dragons were going great when price was assistant
Manly were going great when Parrish and Arthur's were assistants
Storm were great with Kearney as assistant

I dare say how a side performd is not always a true reflection of how a assistant will go

Reports at the time suggest he and Kearney had their differences as to how the team was being coached.

The players want him. I can't see that being a bad thing. At least they might actually play for him as opposed two a few of the coaches we have had.

Look at the Dragons side and the players they had

Look at the Manly side and the players they had

Look at the Melbourne side and the players they had

Now look at when Arthurs was here last, how many players were playing out of there skin? cant think of one? everyone seemed to go backwards, and the year before we were a penalty of a top 8 spot.

I couldve coached them to similar results, and remember Michael Hagan was a reasonably succesful coach before he left A Johns lol

Both JT and Arthur's are assistant coaches to the current grand finalists. And I suspect Arthur is also involved with the day to day coaching at manly like JT is at the Roosters. Also Arthur's seems to have the respect of players at Parra and Manly. JT seems to have the respect of players at the Roosters but doubtful he has the respect of those at his former club - punched in the face.

How many clubs were falling over themselves for any CEO? Greenburg was relatively unknown when he started. Like Seyward he had worked at the dogs in a smaller role previously, then got a job at ANZ stadium before returning to the Dogs.We had Ken Edwards from the stadium and that didn't work out well. Just because nobody was falling over themselves for him doesn't mean he isn't any good

we can't afford to be picky given our situation at the moment we have to take what we can get

If true everyone should stop getting their knickers in a knot, from what I've heard the players are the ones who pushed for Arthur. So in turn they want to play for him, true?

It something we've lacked for a long long time, hopefully that being the case will help him, by the way is he a attacking or defensive coach at Manly?

JT or Brian Smith, both on 2 year deals however if i were CEO the first thing i would be doing is calling Bellamy's or Bennett agent and offering them a huge wad of cash - proven winners.

Wow, just offer them money? Why didn't all the other clubs think of that?

The best coaches are already all at clubs that can afford to spend more on coaching than we can.

Brisbane and the Cowboys have more to spend than us and even they have nuffy coaches. Next great coach that is willing to live in Brisbane or Townsville won't be coming to Parra.
