Pure desperation got us into the mess we're currently in.

Take your time, go for the 'real' coaches - and plug the gap with a 1 year measure if necessary.

If Arthurs backs himself, offer him a 1 year deal with a 2nd and 3rd year in the clubs favour. If he can coach, we extend. If he can't - we make overtures to a big name coach during next season.

No point locking ourselves into a failed situation just because we're currently crap. The only way to get out of the hole is to assert ourselves isn't it?

Brad is a fantastic coach and knowing the players want him is a great start. He is a hard line coach who takes no crap. Choc recently said the reason there online defense improved this year was Brads influence.

I know from his time with Kearney at the eels he wasn't allowed his hard line approach as Steve like to be everyone's mate but the players walked over Steve in the end.

Plenty of merkins mentioned him. Here's one merkin's opinion:

I'm starting to think a rookie like Dunemann or Arthur might be the go. Both have NRL experience as caretakers, without the baggage of having been sacked.

My first choice was Neil Henry's but I always liked Brad Arthur's.

If Brad gets the job, we will have a Seven Hills jnr who loves the club, works extremely hard and even now takes time out to coach kids in the Parramatta Jnr league

He is no soft touch and will bring a work ethic to the club, the games he coached after SK left I think he did not have Hayne available. We can all have an opinion, but lets get behind the coach, we have a new CEO, new sponsors and a new coach, a great opportunity to rebuild. If true, welcome aboard Brad.
